Aribo plays mostly in that role for the super eagles

Jpes has his reasons of picking Onyeka for the cdm role instead of onyedika

No Dey reason with ur anus
otula has Onyeka played b2b/cm for Nigeria before? Aribo that has played SS/AM for Nigeria, dy confuse yourself dragon fly. Because Aribo came in for Alhassan today it now means Aribo is a b2b player.

onyedika and Al Hass no Dey play the same position

Onyedika is a natural CDM while Al Hass is b2b/CM

Onyedika is battling for a starters shirt with Onyeka

The player Al Hass benched was aribo

Know their roles first before arguing 🀣🀣🀣
so Aribo is a b2b player to you omniknowest grin grin, have you not since Onyeka play b2b/cm for Nigeria. Abi ndidi that alhassan replace is a b2b player. As grade E coach wey you be, see your mouth like b2b abi CDM cheesy cheesy cheesy

what made him confused? Because em no pick nwakali?

Even if he decide to take 6 midfielders to the afcon I am very sure he won’t pick nwakali

Below are his likely pick if all are fit

Ndidi
Iwobi
Onyeka
Onyedika
Alhassan
Aribo
Ndidi is injured mention another midfielder. Jpes is confuse for not listing Alhassan in his original 25man list then all of a sudden he's benching onyedika. That's to say Alhassan is better than onyedika but he pick onyedika ahead of Alhassan

the ones in the team are better than him 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣

Ask yourself why jpes who is from Portugal overlooks nwakali?

Is it not the same jpes handed Bruno Onyemaechi of Boavista playing in the same league as nwakali his first debut in the national team?
Abeg no mention Jpes, that guy is confuse. At bold I agree the ones in the team are better than him but I don't think anyone is asking jpes to drop any midfielders for nwakali, what fans are say is that the number of midfielders in a team of 25 players is too small, add more which is where bashiru and nwakali comes in. Cos me sef no sabi any other midfielder except Chukwuemeka and ugochuchwu for Chelsea.

he was in the initial 35 Abi 40 man list also with una maestro

Both missed out from the final 25 man list but Al Hass was preferred as a capable replacement for injured Ndidi

His performance in the ucl this season made it possible for him to attract Jpes to name him in the first list which was pruned to 25 few days later
so what made it possible for nwakali to attract Jpes to be named in the first list. No ucl, his team is piss poor, he earn 5kobo per week grin

In SE. At least make the argument die. It's over five years now. And the argument about him is not only on this forum. The guy is like a ghost that haunts the imagination of some fans.
people still mention nwakali because of how poor our midfield has been nothing more, remember when Nigeria were falling everywhere for tammy, solanke became we lack good strickers then. Immediately we started producing good strickers who remember those ones. Same way if we start get good midfielders, clamour for nwakali will die naturally.

he made the first list of over 30 players to be considered for the final list

His performance in the UCL made that possible for him to be under consideration to be placed on standby and fortunately for him Ndidi’s injury granted him the opportunity to be included as a replacement for the leicester man

Playing in the europe club competitions opens doors to bigger leagues and clubs for players

Yak earned a move to England as a young star after shining with Maccabi Haifa in the ucl. He even scored a hattrick against man united

Babayaro earned a big move to chelsea from anderlecht after doing well as a 17 year old for the Belgian club in the ucl

Yusuf Atanda Ayinla caught the eyes of national team handlers playing in the ucl with dynamo Kiev against Madrid where he held his own against almighty zizou
Bro nwakali was also named in the provisional list. You said his game in antwerp got him to Afcon which I disagree cos he wasn't in the original 25 man list even if peseiro had made it 27 his name won't be among even when fans were asking for more midfielders. It took injury to ndidi for him to be considered. Among players midfielders earlier listed in the provision list only alhassan can play dm role

Victor deserves to be criticized for his misses today but I find some of the takes a bit baffling considering that he still scored today. Osimhen is wack, is overated but in two tournament matches he has already scored more goals than some peoples favorites and legends wey no score single goal in 9 tournaments. Make I off mic sha.

Musa has scored more world cup goals than than your favorite and legend. We should then named Musa as Nigeria Goat.

It’s a matter of finding the right balance. How will the Aribo-Iwobi pair fair against big teams? This is a matter of familiarity, not necessarily top-notch chemistry.

we play on Sunday. Even at that, the fact that it was a late call up meant we disrupted their team plans so it's only fair they hold him till Saturday. If only we had some home based in the preliminary squad, we wouldn't have been in worry at all. PJ's reluctance to include new players into the team would be his downfall. It may seem like praying bad for us but I don't want pj to win this nations cup for us. The way afcon is, you don't necessarily need to be the best to win it. A really crazy streak of luck is enough to win it. Pj winning it would mean he continues and it would only mean we would continue to go backward.
i can't recall any Afcon SE have won by been lucky rather we have always been the unlucky team at semi-finals and finals. The present SE even lack the passion and fighting spirit SE are known for

Every one of them claiming to have watched players not playing in the top 5 leagues, then you ask yourself, where are the watching these guys?
I have DStv both in my home and my office and DStv doesn't shows league matches except it's from EPL, La liga, Serial A, and the choose important matches in other top countries(mostly Eredivisie) to show on ESPN. This season, DStv has never showed Royal Antwerp match, so where are these guys watching players like Ejuke in a 90min matches when it's not the UCL, EUL or the ECL?
You are not totally correct. I watched Antwerp match vs anderlecht last month on espn match ended 1-1

I don't even agree with the notion that fans are underestimating the team. The team has been largely unconvincing under Peseiro, and nothing seems to be getting better.
I remember Randy Waldrum was not liked by most fans before the women's World Cup, and rightly so, because the man was doing all sorts of nonsense experiments with the team. But prior to the World Cup, his team started to get better, and he was getting his tactics and selection right. That improvement extended to the World Cup.
But with Peseiro, I can't see any sign of improvement yet.
I pray I'm wrong, though.
fans are complaining about our poor friendly match record under peseiro and someone is showing past record of how Nigeria lost their first match in Afcon and went on to perform miracle.

It was a short moment of brillance, I saw during the game which might not appear on highlights! Moffi did nothing substantial for 70 minutes! Nothing! None deserves that last sport than Sadiq at the moment.
I have been an ardent critique of Sadiq on this platform. I give my analysis devoid of sentiment!
i don't think I'm against him being in the squad if the coach want to go with seven strickers. What caught my attention was when you use the word brillant and skillful to discribe Sadiq.

Akpom unfamiliar with African football
Moffi has not been impressive in the SE jersey. He always look out of place on the field!

Paserio made the right choice in attack. Asper Nwakali, I agree with you!
Yea kc is one player I think will always come out with a brilliant moment in a game.

Bro, with what just said even though I watch the match I had to go back to watch the highlights again. Bro they was nothing brilliant nor skill about Sadiq in that game. None of our players was even brilliant talk more of calling Sadiq. Sadiq is just there as a football, can hardly be a first team player or a player you rely on. If anything comes out from him, good and fine. But I didn't there's anything brilliant or skillful about his game

Class is temporary but form is permanent.
If the musa of the 2018 world cup and 2016 to 2020 can come back again then we are good to go.
If the skillfull briliant Sadiq Umar comes back again then its okay. At least he is playing regularly for his club
Maybe the coach can see something in training.
Let us wait and see but i doubt it.
Talent is talent and a talented player might rise to the occasion. It happens in football.

How can you mention Sadiq with skillful and brilliant. Which match has he played for Nigeria where he show skills and brilliance.

Lol, I remember most people felt the same way when we sacked Rohr close to the last AFCON. Until Eguavoen shocked everybody 😊.

The truth is that AFCONs aren't predictable. You can have the best players and organization and fail woefully. And vice versa.

Let's keep an open mind and see how it goes.
AFCON is unpredictable, yes but I don't agree with the vice versa, you can't come with the worst players and organisation and win. Let's not encourage mediocrity. Happy new year
