When Igbo soldiers chose to kill the Nigerian Prime minister, Northern Premier Western Premier, they thought they would keep having their way. To crown more insult, an Igbo man became the head of state and refused to execute the murderers, Nzeogwu, Ifeajunna, etc.

Blood was shed and justice was not served. The other part of Nigeria were not fools, they took power back by force. That is when Igbos remembered Biafra, after destabilizing a newly independent nation. Knowing they could not win the war, they started propaganda showing their children with Kwarshiokor to plead for world sympathy.

Glad the British, Americans, Russians stood their ground. Biafra was a rogue nation that didnt need to stand. and in 1970, the nation of Biafra ceased to exist.

Insult me all you want, but you know this is the blunt truth. You dont kill a head of state without consequences. This doesn't exonerate the pogrom killings by the Northerners of Igbos then, that was the height of savagery and wickedness. The innocent Igbos didn't deserve that. Deep in my heart, I yearn for an Igbo to become president of Nigeria one day. But with your useless aspirants like Owelle Rochas, this aspiration may take awhile.

The number of states is not the problem. In my opinion, Nigeria is simply not productive enough as a nation, simple. Even with the so-called 'restructuring', the country will still seriously struggle because it is not generating enough wealth to lift its citizens out of poverty. The states can't fend for themselves without federal allocation, and that won't change even if you decides to merge some of them today.

Many smaller countries like the Netherland are generating more wealth annually (£300-billion euros) for their much smaller population than Nigeria is, so that tells you we are just not being productive enough in spite of our huge population. In that sense, one can be forgiven for saying Nigeria is just 'big for nothing'.

Nigeria only makes $35 billion dollars per year from oil. 90 percent of Nigeria's revenue is from the south :Akwa ibom,Rivers state,Delta State, and Bayelsa .
35 billion dollars isn't even enough to run one mega city . For example ,Los Angeles generates 300 billion dollars per year.

Akwa ibom generates 1.1 billion dollars per month from oil or $14 billion dollars per year . But Akwa ibom only receives $60 million dollars per month or 850 million per year .
If Nigeria ran on federalism ,Akwa ibom would be the richest state in Nigeria ,and the 3rd richest and most developed in Africa if it where a country. Rwanda is the same size as Akwaibom.
