Blessedarethepe: Are you for real? Please share more light on this In the US, you don't need a masters to get into a PhD program. The norm is to finish your bachelors and enter a PhD program. Most American Universities don't know what HND is so they ask for a credentials evaluation. Myself and most people I know use WES. I have seen someone use IEE. The verdict is the same, HND is equivalent to Bsc. Once you have this, 80% of American Universities will admit you if you meet the other requirements. There are some schools that will admit you even without a credential evaluation like West Virginia University but I highly recommend WES as it will also increase your GPA. Mine went from 3.0 to 3.34. With your wes evaluation, you can apply to Masters and PhD program in schools that accept it which is the majority. Shalom . |

Sisib15: Thank you so much , my admission is for accelerated nursingprogram Aren't those expensive? I don't think they build the prerequisites into the programs if you haven't taken it already. If you can afford it, go for it. Even I got into an ADN program as everyone was telling me to switch to nursing but after considering everything, i'd rather graduate from my Masters program and hope for the best. |

Sisib15: Hi guys, I am at a cross road, I am currently doing my masters degree which I have two years to complete. The thing is that I applied for nursing program and I got admission. Right now I am confused on whether to complete the degree program before nursing or abandon my degree and continue the program. Hello Sisi. I recall your MS is in English and Linguistics which honestly isn't well sort after. Nursing is a great field if you're willing to put in the work. Were you admitted into a Bachelor or ADN program? Have you finished the prerequisites? That's where the issue lies. Elementary statistics isn't really elementary. An Adn would most likely take you 3 years if you're starting from fresh and since your background isn't in the sciences, it may not be too easy for you. But if you can finish the program and get a nursing license, you'd be set. Another thing you should consider is if you can afford the program. |

Tolu2024: please what kind of invitation someone need to travel to United States? can work kind of sponsor anyone ? An invitation letter doesn’t do much. Work visas from outside the US may be possible to get but I understand they are difficult too. Typically, you’d need a job offer from a US employer who’s qualified to and interested in filing for you. Also, depending on your qualifications and experience, you can also self petition for some classes of visas that allow you work in the US. The easiest would be to get an L1 visa if you currently work with an employer with an office in the US. If not, you can look into getting a student visa and exploring your options. |

DTruth10: You do sound quite bitter. Believe what you want. Your opinion and info are false and non factors in my decision moving forward.
Counting education: I have a HND and was in my Third year in Canada - that counts for something. I was escorted as per protocol (found this out from my interactions with the officials). Protocol? Is that the norm? Does that apply to everyone? How many people are “partially removed” from Canada? Your attempt to try and bully or insult people trying to help you face the consequences of your past actions is quite telling. |

I don't mind contributions from other experienced persons in here please, especially those who have worked or working in the same field. Do a WES course by course evaluation. Most companies will require an evaluated copy of your educational credentials and some schools will require it to if you decide to start a new program here. |

House34: You can merge then upload documents under the 'Purpose of Travel' and 'Optional Document' sections. However, the system automatically merges the documents into one long file, which appears to the visa officer for faster processing and to save time. So, don't worry too much about it. Alright. Thanks. |

- Your I-94 (printed from the I-94 retrieval website) - Your US F-1 visa - Proof of enrollment in a USA university (student ID) - Proof of funds (bank statement) - Travel itinerary After your biometric enrolment Processing time is typically within 1 week to 1 month, which is very fast. Thank you. But there’s no place to upload all of these. I added my Graduate assistantship letter showing how much I’m getting paid and also my lease which is for 1 year. Where do I attach the other documents?

DTruth10: I was partially returned because I made the report personally. My passport had expired and I had no way of returning. IRCC took it from there, they didn't give me a removal order or any documents but I was detained and then a travel document and flight ticket was brought for my trip. I was accompanied by 3 officials all the way to Nigeria.
I was not on a work permit. I was on a study permit which I switched to a visitor's visa - probably why the situation didn't escalate to a deportation. You were deported. Immigration officers “escorted” you into a flight IRCC/CBSA paid for. That’s not voluntary exit and there’s nothing partial about that. When filling any immigration forms especially those that has to do with the US, the answer to if you’ve been deported is yes. They already know. Answering any other way will lead to a permanent ban. |
