Thank you. Yes I will order for the gcms note (although I heard it takes time to get it) and I paid 9k CAD already for my first semester tuition as required by the school, which all documents was uploaded and submitted. I'm going to reapply for September intake.
9k? Wow!

My study permit application was refused yesterday. So sad about it.
The VO said " your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself". And that they're not satisfied I'll leave Canada after my studies.

My agent submitted all the required documents from my sponsor (brother), which includes his company account, Cac, building property evaluation, tax clearance, birth certificate and ID cards and also attached my own personal bank account statement which does not have enough money in it.

Please what can I do about this inorder to see if I can reapply and defer my admission to September intake?
Thanks.
So sorry to hear this. Order gcms note. If you can, pay at least first semester tuition if you haven't already and reapply.

Hello All. I got email from IRCC this morning and checked the portal. It was updated with biometric validity letter. No other update. I got this letter with my denial in my last application. I just checked again now and the Final decision section was also updated but doesnt say the application status huh
Hello. I was wondering where you went.

You can use the tracking tool. It looks like an approval so congratulations.

Have you tried govt agencies?
Not sure where you're based but consider councils, city or state agencies. Even in other states if need be.
I would look into it. Thank you.

Hi everyone, I don't know if this is the right platform to drop this but I need some advise on Visa renewal. My US Visa expires in may and I am currently in the US, is it possible to do a drop box in Nigeria to renew my visa since it hasn't expired yet?. Pls advise.
If you try this, they will invite you to in person interview. They know when you leave the US and when you enter. Don't get into trouble. You're a visitor. Visit and go home

Zihno how are you doing.
What's good . Hope you are almost done with your study.
Hello, studies are going fine. I'm supposed to graduate this December and I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to get a summer internship in my field. if I don't, I can't graduate in fall.

Without a valid PAL or no PAL, your application will be withdrawn by IRCC after a few days or weeks when it gets to your turn. My application was withdrawn automatically after 2 weeks of submission by IRCC because I uploaded a PAL from last year that expired in January 21st 2025. I reapplied immediately with the new PAL I received.
And you still haven't heard back??

Hopefully, that's good news.

What about the other lady?

Is it actually true that one's chances of visa approval is high as long as you get PAL? Considering the cap on international students and issuance of PAL by the province, I would say the chances of one's visa approval is high if the study permit application is well packaged. Because with the PAL, it means the province has a space for you to come and study. Please I need the opinion of the gurus in the house on this. Thank you!
PAL has no effect on visa approval. I was only referring to the mode of delivery. If an hybrid program grants PAL, then IRCC won't focus on the mode of delivery.

I'm applying for a Ontario Graduate Certificate program at Conestoga College. The program is hybrid, some parts are in person and some online, and is pgwp eligible. Will be that a problem with the Visa Officer. Thank you
As long as you get PAL from the program and can apply for a visa, it won't matter

Bro I remember your post. You submitted on 16th and biometrics updated on the 20th February 2025 and that's same timeline with my application submission. But I'm yet to get any new message regarding my application.
When did you receive the rejection? And didn't they say why your application was rejected? So sorry about that.
On the 7th.

Yeah no update yet but I'm hopeful there will be soon. I trust God to do it.
Since you're going for May, why didn't you do upfront medicals?

How is it going with you guys over here ? Been a minute. My cuzzo got a refusal yesterday. I was helping him with his study permit. Did his biometrics on Friday, got a refusal on Monday. Crazy work. I know lot of you really wanna come here , but take into consideration that US elections,a lot of issues too. Canada is going to have a new prime minister this year too. They’re not immigrant friendly at the moment. Follow the news, this year is gonna be tough. It ain’t like before when thousands were coming in. I wish you all good luck. But remember, the chances are very slim now. More reason why you shouldn’t procrastinate . Just do it…,at the right time too
How's this possible? How did someone whose biometrics was completed on 20th get rejected on the 23rd?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Zihno: 9:22pm On Feb 27, 2025

Same timeline here

Submission was Feb 16
Biometrics updated Feb 20th
No update since

Jobs/VacanciesRe: I'll Pay 5k For Your Photos (Latest Update) by Zihno: 1:20pm On Jan 11, 2025
ibinaboonline:
Hi everyone.

I'm an automotive writer and currently working on a piece about the danfo culture in Lagos. I need some photos of danfo buses for the article.

Now, you're probably wondering why I can't just download some photos from the web. We don't do that because we only work with original content, including supporting images (photos).

Now, I can't go out and take these photos because I'm currently not in Lagos. So, I'm willing to pay 5,000 naira just for a few minutes of your time taking snapshots of Danfo buses. I'll tell you which parts to snap if you're interested.

No need for the lecture or an attempt to derail the thread with sentiments about 5k being small money. Do it for the fun of it, then. Plus, wouldn't it be cool to see photos you took published on a US-based media?

Please, do not hesitate to reach out if interested. This is really important. You can email me directly if you prefer:

Even with WES evaluation.
That's not true. I did WES US and my ND is the equivalent of a US associate degree

No, ND is not considered as associate degree.
It is when you evaluate it with WES.
