Applied for the Spring 2025 to University of Colorado Boulder as a transfer applicant using my 100Level transcript. My CGPA is 3.62.
On my secondary school transcript there was no gpa but scored As few Bs and few Cs so the person doing the application for me decided to put 88/100 where GPA was required without calculating, will this be an issue? Will it mar my chances of securing admission?

Also, they demanded for Academic history and I uploaded transcript and NECO instead. I want to know if this will be an issue.

How do you pull out GPA from the air? You could have used Wes igpa free calculator or Scholaro

I'm not eligible for Mpower loan given the criteria that one must be within two years of graduation. I'm just in 200L using only 100L so I m within 3 years of graduation which renders me ineligible for loan.

What's my chances of securing admission?

I'll need a cosigner if I am going for other loans and I have no one right now in the US that can do that for me. Anyways, anyway is a way. Let me just get the admission first and everything will fall in places. If I am able to secure admission, secure loan to fund me, Visa won't be a problem. I'll ace it!

Mpower loan? Chances are it won’t work. Another thing to consider is your age and study gap. It’s one thing to gain admission, it’s another to get the visa. If you’re above 25. Why are you just going for a bachelors degree? Why are you using a loan to study abroad when you can study in your home country for (almost) free? Anyhow, good luck in your endeavors.

Her NIN details are correct, and it's what's populated when applying, so it can't even be changed.

I'm asking in terms of other documents - her marriage certificate.
There are little errors like I mentioned ..
My questions were if it'll be an issue, when they look at her name as is on application form (as well as NIN) and then ask why the marriage certificate has errors on her first and middle name.

Do I need to do affidavit for her marriage cert or her marriage cert is not really important in the grand scheme of things so I just leave it like that

They won’t look at anything. As long as her details on her NIN is correct, she’s good to go.

Her maiden name was changed after she got married, so her marriage cert is having the old surname she/her family (siblings) use to have.
Also, her names (first and middle name was not spelt correctly on the marriage certificate- two alphabetical errors).. However, the details on her NIN is accurate along with other valid documents..

Question is, should I just use the old maiden name as is on her marriage cert when filling the maiden made part on the application process (cos I will be uploading her marriage certificate)

You can 100%, the same way people post available date in whatsapp group is the same way anyone can drop it here, its the same first come, first serve system, the date is open to anyone in-need of it, so whatsapp group will not reserve a date for you, it will be gone if you are not quick enough to click.

That said. Nobody needs a whatsapp group to be able to get a date, all you need is to spend time on that website refreshing until you get one.

People who turned this date thing into business do exactly that, they spend time on that website waiting for date to be available.

People are quick to bring up the idea of whatsapp group or drop a link are mostly motivated by financial gain.

The other person is correct. There are 24hrs in a day. You can only check 3/4hrs per day before you get restricted. You can’t realistically search for date using platforms like facebook/Nairaland. Instant messaging apps work best. But what do I know?

I met with the agency recently and asked why my name was not included among those that were given contract and she said it was because I didn't come to work once (of which I called her to inform her that I was feeling dizziness and wouldn't be able to come to work) she also said I came late for 2 minutes a couple of times( that true because I resume 5:45 am on morning shift and the closest bus comes to that area around 5:30am at it earliest and other times 5:35am and I have to trek 19mins to get to work, imagine running every morning shift to meet up with the time and this people can't relate because they don't take a bus.
Almost all the people that came after me have been given contract but they said I should wait for 2 to 3 months again for them to check my clocking in time before they can consider me for contract.

I seriously have been feeling down because of this, probably because I felt I have given my best to these people and they don't appreciate it. Alot of people that are lazy and shy away from work are being given contract and not hardworking ones. It is time I leave the warehouse job for my health.

Please any information on how to successfully switch to care/support roles will be appreciated 👏

Even if you had gotten it, it wouldn’t have helped much. You can’t afford the education. Try applying to schools that promises to fund all admitted undergraduate students from low income backgrounds or apply to schools that grant scholarships that cover the entire COA. Another option is to finish your bachelor’s degree in Nigeria.

I filled a new DS 160 form and updated same on my CGI profile. The usual practice is to wait for 3 days for the update to take effect before printing a new appointment letter, but to my surprise when I clicked on appointment, I saw that the DS 160 id number has been updated already on the appointment letter just after few minutes.

Has any one observed this

It has always been instant. It is the actual submission that people recommend you submit at least 3days to your interview

Hello Justwise, one of the reason I stopped commenting on this thread was because of Mr Oyo and how he attacks anyone with a contrary opinion. His recommendations are outdated and very detrimental to applicants. The fact that he is allowed to spread misinformation and operate multiple monikers to harass contributors is very concerning.
