The kidnappers of Samson Siasia’s mother have called the Siasia Family notifying the family of their reduction of the ransom amount from N150 million to N32 million.

Ma Beauty Ogere Siasia, 72, was abducted nine days ago by armed men in Odoni Village. Siasia’s brother, Demie Siasia said the kidnappers called Wednesday ;

“The kidnappers called again, saying they want N32 million as ransom before freeing the old woman, but I told them that we cannot afford that amount and that we could only raise N600,000, which is the proceeds from the landed property”.

“Though, they were still adamant, but they said they would look into it. So, we are hopeful and looking forward to our mother’s release.”

Amidst the ups and downs in the country, yesterday, President Muhammadu Buhari hosted a presidential dinner organised in honour of Senators at the new Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday.

The dinner had Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Bukola Saraki, Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, some presidential aides and other top government functionaries in attendance.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the Kogi State governorship election inconclusive.

Declaring the results of the election, the Returning Officer, Professor Emmanuel Kucha, said the electoral body’s decision was reached after collation of results showed a number of cancelled votes that was higher than the margin between the leading candidate and the runner-up.

After election results from the 21 local government areas were collated on Sunday, the All Progressives Congress’ candidate, Abubakar Audu, was leading while the incumbent Governor, Captain Idris Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) trailed by a margin less than the number of cancelled votes.

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress had 240,867 votes while that of the PDP got 199,514 votes.

Enyimba football club of Aba have pocketed a whooping sum of N30m, the highest ever prize money for a Nigerian club after winning the 2014/2015 Glo Nigerian Professional Football league.

Club captain Chinedu Udoji met with the chairman of the League Management Company, Mallam Shehu Dikko at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos to collect a dummy check on Sunday. Enyimba topped the championship after they recorded 70 points from 38 matches and alongside Warri Wolves will represent Nigeria at the CAF Champions League. See Confirmation image below...

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a suspected drug baron, 42 year old Tochukwu Ubah, alleged to be coordinating a large volume of methamphetamine and ephedrine distribution in the country.

In a statement issued by Mitchell Ofoyeju, Head, Public Affairs, NDLEA, in Lagos on Sunday, Mr. Ubah was arrested by the agency’s Special Enforcement Team, SET, at the old local section of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos when he arrived from Enugu.

The statement read:

“He was apprehended after intense undercover operations in connection with illegal exportation of 576kgs of narcotics to Durban, South Africa through Apapa Port.

“The drug made up of 266kg of methamphetamine and 310kgs of ephedrine valued at N4.6 billion were hidden inside noodles, cereals and palm oil,” it said.

It added: “Although the surveillance report indicates that he is a major player in drug smuggling, Ubah hides under the cover of floor tile business.

NDLEA revealed that the suspect is also known as Etochukwu Alaek Weubah and Eto Ubah and that he had a company, Visoch Resources Limited, which he used as a cover for his drug business.

The Redeem Christian Church Of God's Children department, are in no joke as they are set to finish their Multi-million Naira children amusement park called: “Emmanuel Park” where the teens and children can relax and have fun in a godly environment and under maximum security.

The Amusement park is located very close to the Children's auditorium right inside the redemption camp!

According to reports, the project of the amusement park was initiated by the Wife of the General Overseer and head of the Directorate of Teens and Children Education (DTCE), Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye.

In a short documentary on the project at the November Holy Ghost Service, Mrs Adeboye explained that the essence of the park is to give the children a balanced life both spiritually and physically.

She went ahead to say that about N500million Naira has been spent so far and nothing less than N150million is required to do some other fixes which include (install CCTV cameras, game machines, toilet facilities, Amphi Theater and other features at the park.

She assured parents that there won't be need to take their children out of the country for sight-seeing as the park will be equipped with modern facilities.

This incident happened on Monday November 16th at their home. The man allegedly used pliers to cut off the woman's ears during a fight in their home after she reported his abuse to the police. According to the friend, they married in December 2014 and the woman has been suffering abuse since the marriage. They have a 3-month old son. See more photos below and pic of the alleged abuser..

A board member of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria, AFN, Ken Anugweje, has been kidnapped in Port Harcourt,

Olukayode Thomas, a board member of the AFN and Head of Media, confirmed the development even as he solicited help from every quarters to facilitate the prompt release of Mr. Anugweje, who is also a professor of medicine.

“Prof. Ken Anugweje, a professor of sports medicine and member of AFN board has been kidnapped earlier today in Port Harcourt. The AFN appeal to Nigerians with information to assist security agents to rescue him,” Mr Thomas stated

Only on Monday, the 72-year old mother of the former Head Coach of the Nigeria U-23 team, Samson Siasia, was kidnapped in Bayelsa State.

The Nigeria Football Federation has also made passionate appeal for the release of Mr. Siasia’s aged mother.

A Professor of Medicine at the Obafemi Awolowo University Prof. Solomon Ogunniyi, reportedly passed away in his office yesterday Thursday November 5th. The former provost of the college of health sciences, was said to have passed out in his office and no one noticed for a long time. It was when people noticed he'd been in his office for a while without exiting that they went in to check on him and found his lifeless body slumped in his chair. Cause of death is not immediately known but no foul play is suspected.

Attempt by the robbers who robbed and killed scores in Igarra last night to escape enroute Makeke Ojah road met brink walls as vigilantes in Makeke town took up the role of the police to protect the people. The robbers who met resistance from the civilian security killed one of the vigilantes and escaped into the forest. Angered by the death of their colleagues, the vigilantes mobilized into the bush and confronted the robbers. Four of the robbers were reportedly killed by the vigilante. Also, the robbers abandoned 1 pump action and seven AK47 to enable them free movement.
