According to a recent update from Naij.com, the anticipated screening of Rotimi Amechi has be deferred by the Nigerian Senate Again. The Plenary will not be held by the red chamber on October 21st, 2015 as scheduled previously. PM news reported this with reference to the statement of the Senate clerk Nelson Oyewoh. The information provided is that the screen exercise will now hold tomorrow October 22nd, 2015. Remember Amechi's screening was initially slated for last week but couldn't hold due to delay in providing reports on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions by the Senate committee. Another session of screening which saw three nominees screened was held yesterday, but the former Governor of Rivers State failed to undergo the process once again. Speaking on the matter, the officials of the All Progressive Congress (APC), showed a glaring confidence by expressing that no matter the amount of petition filed against the nomination of Rotimi Amechi, the screening exercise must hold. However the screening must hold tomorrow because according to the constitution as quoted below, Unless the Senate confirms or formally rejects Amechi by Thursday, October 29, he will be sworn in automatically, The constitution says, “An appointment to any of the offices aforesaid shall be deemed to have been made where no return has been received from the Senate within 21 working days of the receipt of nomination by the Senate.” Source: http://www.chuzzyblog.com/2015/10/rotimi-amechis-screening-adjourned.html cc lalasticlala |

Tuesday, October 13, was a horrible day for a staff of the Benin Electricity Distribution Company and his family as he was electrocuted while doing his job. According to the eye witness who sent in the photos, the young man whose name is unknown at the moment, came with his crew and started work. In less than 10 minutes that he started working, Power was restored. A load shout was heard by all that were around there and when the looked up to see what happened, they found the man in that position. According to another eye witness, it took about 30 minutes to get him down from that height, after which he was taken to the hospital. Information reaching me today says the man died that same day. What a loss... Is this a case of carelessness or wickedness? A closer view of the picture below Source: http://www.chuzzyblog.com/2015/10/bedc-staff-electrocuted-while-doing-his.html cc: lalasticlala

I particularly have never been a fan of churches that major in "miracles & deliverance!" I love to be taught the word of God in an expository way, then act on the word and get whatever it is i need from it. The Video attached to this post, allegedly reports that a Prophet in Zimbabwe, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri deceived his hundreds of congregation by using an Ipad to take a photo of the child of a man (most likely an accompanist) "in the spirit". The Child was not in the church but the prophet lifted an Ipad up and did a fast move to get the child's picture display on the screen. Its damn horrible the length people go in search of fame and money. Don't fall for any of these.. Be wise! Nigerian music legend, 2face Idibia who was once seen as the most promiscuous Nigerian celebrity of all time now seems like the most loyal. The multiple award winning singer has revealed that he never thought he could get married because he couldn’t see how he could be faithful in a marriage. Speaking in an interview, he said, “I’m not surprised. Honestly, I mean back in the day it had come across my mind one or two times to propose to her but somehow it got to this point where I was like I’m not going to get married. Even before I started having kids I had already said I’m not going to get married.“ 2face said he was scared of marriage because he thought he wouldn’t be a good husband. “Before then there’s been one or two times where I almost proposed to Annie. But I just said no no no because I just thought I wasn’t going to be faithful, I wasn’t going to be good enough. I had always thought I wasn’t going to be the best man for any woman so because of that, I just thought I’m not going to get married; I’m just going to live my life” he said. 2face and Annie got married in Dubai on March 23, 2013 and have two daughters together. Yesterday, 2face Idibia revealed that he nearly died when he was 26. http://www.chuzzyblog.com/2015/09/i-thought-i-wont-be-faithful-in.html cc: lalasticlala ishilove

According to an unconfirmed alleged eyewitness account, A unidentified man came to the First City Monument Bank (FCMB), trade fair branch and threw the mother of all tantrums threatening to kill himself because he was given fake dollar notes totaling $30,000 by an Hausa Bureau de Change man he meet outside the bank premises. The victim said he went to the FCMB at trade fair complex on Friday, September 11th to buy dollars but the bank didn’t have enough money, so an Hausa man he met inside the bank told him he has 30,000 US dollars and he followed the Hausa man to his office to collect the money. When he collected the money, they went back to the bank where he transferred the naira equivalent of $30,000 into the Hausa man’s account. When the victim got home at about 7pm, he was shocked to find out the dollar notes were fake. So on Monday morning, he went to the Hausa man’s office and told him the money was fake, the Hausa man confirmed it was fake and said he bought the money from FCMB. They went to the bank, laid their complain, but the bank denied giving them the money. The man started shouting which caused the security men attached to the bank to push him outside and poured tear gas on his body. He removed his clothes and started crying. The bank locked him outside while the Hausa man remained inside. People gathered and demanded the bank to provide the Hausa man and officer who poured the tear gas on the victim but the bank refused. People started protesting outside the bank and the police were called. When the police arrived, it was learned the bank let the Hausa man out through the back door without people knowing. They took the victim away with their vehicle. Source: http://www.chuzzyblog.com/2015/09/man-threatens-to-commit-suicide-outside.html cc: lalasticlala

Shan opened up to Diamond Celebrities that she paid N100,000 to Ameh, who was introduced to her by another guy called Deji Soundcity. The reason why she paid that huge sum was because she wants the urban music channel to play her son’s music video titled ‘Summer Rose’. Shan said “When I confronted him, Dro said ‘MADAM NO BE ME SAY MAKE U GO SHOOT RUBBISH VIDEO FOR UR PIKIN. IF U DO PEM, I GO SPOIL UR PIKIN MUSIC CAREER FOR THIS NIGERIA O. BRING 5OO THOUSAND NAIRA BEFORE I PLAY THE VIDEO OR DON’T CALL MY FONE AGAIN, WE DON’T GET PAID ANY SALARY IN SOUNDCITY SO WE HAVE TO DO OUR OWN HUSTLE TO SURVIVE HERE.” George also said that when she called Deji who introduced her to Dro, Deji never picked her calls. The actress released a statement and it reads: We ( Shandel Productions) thereby appeal to Sound City Management to quickly fish out this staff to avoid further…. Like Jude Okoye said, it is the artiste job to shoot a good video and you guys job to play it. And in the right sense, it should be the artiste getting paid for airplay, like they do in other civilized countries.
