Hello everyone.
I have a question regarding approval mail. The embassy has requested for health insurance and proposed travel date.
The question is, do the embassy return documents within the timeframe indicated as proposed travel date? For instance, if I was asked to give 10 days advanced. Does anyone know if the documents will return the document within that timeframe?
Flights are so expensive now and if one does not book early, it will be too costly.

Yes, as long as you make sure the travel date is at least 10 days from the day they receive the passport, insurance and travel date.

But if it’s for appointment, you have to wait a year as they said.

Been waiting for 3 months post family reunion visa application and my Husband(A blue card holder) who’s already in Germany wrote to the embassy on my behalf a few weeks ago and they responded saying we’ve to wait for a year.
I’d appreciate any help you can render, please.

We got our family reunion visa for my wife and kids. So glad we didn’t have to wait for an eternity. Here’s the timeline:

Applied for appointment - July 23, 2021
Got appointment date - August 10th 2022
Appointment - 6th September 2022
Email to submit passport & travel ins - 31st October 2022
Submitted passports - 31st October 2022
Got passports with visa and docs - 4th November 2022

Caveats
1. Myself, as the principal, is on a Blue Card in Germany, so there was no need for verification.
2. We had to call the Lagos consulate, write the LEA as well as the Federal Foreign Office due to health and safety issues of my family.
3. All documents checked out from the appointment, so that aided smooth transition.

Can anyone that recently moved their family (wife and kids) on an EU Blue Card share the duration they waited after the family reunion interview? My wife and kids had their interview on the 6th of September with all documents checking out fine, no need for verification, apartment size confirmed okay, and all things checked out, but we are yet to get a feedback. I’ve emailed the visa back office but no response. I’ll appreciate your help.

The silence is really deafening, Nothing from them yet.

I think most of the Consulate staff are on vacation, so it’s expected to delay in responding or allocating interview dates. July/August is the peak on Summer holidays.

You can try https://www.thehomelike.com/ . I was able to get something reasonable when I used their service way back and you won't need to pay a deposit.

Try Habyt.com They are my current landlord, and they seem affordable and non-discriminatory.

For those who travelled to Germany recently, what is experience like in terms of Covid test and Vaccination at the Airport and Point of Entry in Germany?

No need for COVID test or vaccination. But as a precaution, ensure you are fully vaccinated and have your vaccination card with you. But there was no check for the card or test result. Not at all.

If you have the pre-approval, it shouldn’t take more than 6 week max. For me, after receiving feedback from Employment Agency (guess what, I applied for pre-approval myself), I booked appointment on the 5th of May, got an email with a date the next day for 12th May, and got the visa on the 18th of June.

Please and please, don't fall for it. Rome Business School is neither accredited or recognized as a degree-awarding institution anywhere in the world, including Nigeria. Except you want a beautifully designed certificate for a neck-cutting price, then you can go for it. If you have plans to use the certificate, please walk away. Don't say I did not warn you ooo.
