Hey guys... vcole, dupyshoo and co!

Please I need help with regards to the 'Proof of Relationship'... Relationship to who exactly?

Also, do I need to add pages of previous passports showing stamps as well or just the current one. Though the previous passports for both of us have some travel history we claimed... If so, do we just scan all in one document and include both data pages?

Thanks

You must have claimed to have a relative who is a citizen or PR of Canada. You need to show proof of your relationship to that person. If it's a sibling, for example, you could show both your birth certificates, pictures etc

For the passport, I only submitted biodata page.

Hi everyone,

Can someone pls answer this Man.
I have similar issue too.

Please your take on this.

Regards,
PETERANDRE:
hello everyone here.
i will like to thank everyone present here for their contributions on so far.
i will like more insight info regarding the POF ( proof of fund ) when you are submitting your application to cic.
do i still need to leave amount showed on my bank statement untouched after i must have submitted my application cic?
for how long should this amount remain in my account before i can start taking out money from there?
please i need your honest opinion because i intend getting some cash from friends to make up the required amount needed and i wouldn't wanna just leave people hard earned cash in my account ,especially not at this point of economy meltdown.
thank you very much.
ideally, you should have the funds throughout the entire process (up to landing) as you may be required to provide updated POF at any point during the process. In my own case, even though it was my money, I needed to use it. So I waited until I saw that my POF had been been reviewed and officer was satisfied ( from GCMS notes - 5 months after AOR) before I started spending...still a calculated risk. I'll have to pull it back together before landing as I've heard of people being asked for POF at the airport.

Congrats Zimex. Kindly expantiate if your application was paper based or express entry. Then pls ur timeline frm inception of ur application to serve as guide for hopefuls. thanks.
I did express entry. No agent. I relied on info from senior folks here (thanks to everyone) and a bit of research. My score was 454 and I got ITA on Feb 24 (cut off was 453). I submitted my application on Apr 11, med passed/schedule A request Apr 14, BG in progress Aug 25 and PPR Nov 9. I paid rprf upfront. I ordered my 1st GCMS notes 2 weeks after submitting my application and I saw that initial review for completeness was done by support service agent by May 5. My 2nd GCMS notes showed agent review A11.2 (for eligibility) was done by May 14. 3rd GCMS notes showed officer review was done and security checks started on Aug 25 (same day my BG turned IP). My 4th GCMS note is due end Nov smiley

First, do you know you can request for information on your file? But you need someone in Canada to that for you.
It's called GCMS (Global Case Management System), the report has valuable information on the current status and future processing of your application. Find the link here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp
To your question 1. They may ask you for it and account statement showing salary will do 2. Affidavit is fine & 3. That mail is called 'Ghost mail'. Nothing special, lots of people got it.

Thank you very much. I am studying medicine in the Caribbean (will finish this year). I used my B.Sc. and M.Sc. obtained in Nigeria for the application and the work experience I got in Nigeria. The grey areas for me are the fact that 1) I don't have any pay slip for that job cos its been a while so I submitted a reference letter from my former boss and my employment contract. Will that be sufficient? 2) To prove my financial status, my mum sent the money to my account and swore affidavit that its a gift which would not be taken back. I hope this will not work against me cos I couldn't build my account as required (I am just a student).
Finally, I woke up this morning to see a mail saying myCIC account has been updated, but when I logged into the account, nothing was updated. everything was exactly the way it was. Please has anyone experienced this before?
Just in case you don't have anyone in Canada, you can request your GCMS from www.visafile.info or gcmsnow.com but it costs $23-$25

Maybe there's something there that was not clearly stated. There's someone who had such experience until it was discovered that in his wife's history, the period of NYSC was the problem as they wrote NYSC there and oyinbo no know wetin NYSC be, they then had to write it in full for oyinbo's understanding so, check very well what yours could have been, anywhere you used acronym, change to full name.
Thanks!

Hello experts in the house. Please I need a quick clarification.
1) I need to upload "legal name change doc" and I'm wondering what would suffice. I'm thinking of uploading the newspaper change of name advert only, since I have uploaded marriage certificate separately. However, I'm hearing that an affidavit is also required which I don't have (been married for 9 years and I didn't need it to effect change of name). Do I need to go and swear an affidavit now?
2) for "passports/travel documents " do I upload only the bio data page or include all visas? Do I need to include previous passports?

Thanks

Please find below answers to your question:
1) Did you indicate that you have a family in Canada? Proof of relationship is only required for this
2) Are the roles under the same NOC and are the job responsibilities the same? If yes, why don't you merge the roles as one. An alternative is to tell your employer to give you 4 different reference letters.
3)Writing out your job roles and responsibilities by yourself will not suffice. You have to get your supervisor/former colleague to sign it.

Thanks for your response. There is another section for "family member proof of status" which clearly refers to my family member in Canada. This added to my confusion on what exactly "proof of relationship" is.

Hello house. Please I need help with uploading documents
1) i see "proof of relationship" not quite sure what this means since I'm already providing marriage certificate, any ideas?
2) I have done 4 roles in my current place of work (6years) and I have only one reference letter which covers all the roles. I see that I am supposed to upload letter for each role. Do I upload same letter 4 times?
3) for my previous place of work (2yrs), I only have employment certificate which does not have all the details cic wants. My plan is to present it together with my offer letter, confirmation letter and my own write up of my duties and responsibilities in that role. Will that suffice? Many thanks.

I didn't calculate it using the maximum ielts. You've got 439 now, subtract 5 from age which gives 434, that means your husband should contribute at least 16 points or let's say 17 points to bring your total score to 451 which is a very good score. In fact if he can score L8 then the rest 7,7,7,6.5 or L7.5, then the rest 7,7,7,7 that would give 18 points and 452. It's up to you to risk it and don't forget the application fee for ONP is a non-refundable $1,500. What I suggest is that your hubby should quickly write the ielts before you accept the invitation if possible.
Thanks for your response. His ielts date is Oct 24 so we won't have the result until after the 45days Ontario gave us. I think I am going to take the risk and ignore Ontario. Worst case scenario is for him to also do WES evaluation which should give additional 10marks for his MBA.

Would you have the funds in a few months? If so then you can reject the ONP if your hubby is going to take the IELTS, as the maximum points he can get via the IELTS is 20 and that would bring your total score to above 450 which is a very good score for selection.
I will but I don't want to bank on maximum pts from hubby's ielts (being conservative here). Plus age factor means -5 from my score in Jan.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Zimex: 9:50pm On Sep 30, 2015
I got the letter from Ontario province to apply for ONIP. The only issue is with POF as I don't think I can pull off the bank balance I need to show at this time ($22k). If I do not submit that application now, is there any chance I can get invited again at some point? Maybe in a few months? Also my score is 439 which does not include any score for hubby yet. He's going to write the ielts exam in Oct. Given that the cut off mark for the last round is 450, I'm thinking maybe I should ignore Ontario's invitation and hope that the cutoff comes down further. Any advise please?
