Why do you think North is divided for the first time in an election? They understand Afonjas' motive. So most of their leaders rally round Atiku. They'll rather vote Atiku who's less popular in the North compared to PMB. They don't want a repeat of Yar'adua/GEJ scenario. Northerners don't trust Tinubu especially with his failed plan to make only Afonjas as presiding officers in both House of Senate and House of Rep.

Please do well to study History for it was General Yakubu Gowon who documented the ceding to Cameroon during the Nigerian Civil War as a deal to prevent Cameroon from supporting Biafra.
