i was going to ask you if your ideas were always right but i got an answer in one of your posts, you really believe you can't be corrected, 'because according to you, you're always right in all that you do, well too bad you have friends who can stand up and put you in check. when i stated that your friends could advice you and could be wrong, i don't mean they are purposely trying to displace you in life or kill your dream, all i'm saying is it's only true friends that would air their views about whatever you share with them, they might not be right, 'because we all can't claim Infallibility (although you seem to know it all) but the point is they tell you genuinely what they think about your idea and it's left to you to give cogent reasons for your decision and sincerely a true friend would support you even if they don't understand, only note that they won't say "oh, that's the best idea in the world" when they don't see what you see.

and when i say they don't care about their words auguring well with you, i'm still talking about their sincerity when to them you're wrong, if i'm your true friend i can't be scared of you getting mad, i don't mind you getting mad the point is you get to the desired goal, not me imposing my ways on you, i mean you don't have to accept every word you hear that's why you have that inner intuition but friends will always be there to tell you what the whole world is scared of telling you.

As for females, I have only had engaging conversations with those based abroad. People who can't appreciate my dreams and numerous ideas can't bring out the best in me. So even though I have respected ladies for various reasons, it's hard for them to capture my attention. There has to be more to a lady than her sexuality.

I can also tell you what I think friends are not for. Friends are not for criticism, they are not for conditional acceptance. friends are not for offending you and refusing to say sorry. Friends are not for milking you dry when you have a little money, or manipulating you into doing things their way by making you feel guilty.

Friends should make you happy, because love is blissful not painful. I'm quick to drop painful friends!

to an extent i concur with you seun but talking about a friend not appreciating your numerous ideas, hmmmmmmmm i think it is the duty of a friend to tell you if your idea is dumb or out of order (at times that friend might be wrong, but that is fine). i think it's only a Friend that can tell u sincerely if you're out of track without caring if his/her words augur well with you or not.

true talk some people indeed try to dissociate themselves from everything called nigeria and that i think is pathetic, how can people learn to respect the real you when you don't even respect or appreciate yourself.

I am a proud Nigerian and nothing can sway that pride. like idekeson said being different is good, i remember countless times i got people to do stuff for mii just because they claim to like my accent.

in my perspective i consider a friend to be someone who shares your pain and joy, someone who can stick around you regardles of your flaws (and vice versa), someone who makes you mad but you can't do without (you know what i mean). i for one i cherish friendship and hate to loose friends (but don't think i don't choose them wisely now)

well i've had my share of friends some disappointing and others incredible but in all i have learned to manage my friends understanding that we're all human and have our different weaknesses.

well meeting people is something i like, so i don't mind getting to know people and making new friends but not because i'm not satisfied with the ones i have i just think it's fun meeting people from different backgrounds and with different opinions.

anywayz i would share my clothing and shoes with room mates or non roommates if you dig my dress sense. when i was in College back home i did share clothes with my friends but now i can't wear a friend's outfit (just think i'm not into that anymore) but my friend could go ahead and wear mine just take care of it.

are you still referring to the fiancee and the guy she is living with? if you are i think it is very possible for them to live in the same house and have no sexual feelings for one another. my best friend is a guy and we used to live together in college and he's not gay (just incase anyone is wondering)

anyway, i don't think age matters if you are still in love with her (and that i believe is a question you can answer on your own) but if you don't, dust your feet and move on (i pity the babe sha). and about long courtship being good or bad i think it depends on your reasons, if it's because you're in school, i don't think it matters but if the couple are just not considering marriage because "they can have it without paying for it" i think it backfires (like gets messed up).

well i think some people don't know, based on what they were told by the uncle when they got raped, when i say don't know though i mean don't know he really had sex with them, they might remember faintly that he touched them but sincerely sometimes it is really faint they don't understand until they probably have sex again and are told they were not virgins.

well back to the thread, what will i do? depending on his location, if he's in nigeria i would simply buy a gun and kill him, i would have filed a court case but i wouldn't because i don't think the law really works in nigeria and i know i can go free after killing him without the law catching up with mii but if he's abroad hmmmmmmmmmmm, still buy a gun and silence him, i know i'd go to jail but i would get a good lawyer to plead my case so at least my sentence could be minimal. but before i kill him though i'd get him to confess in a tape, don't ask mii how!!!

lolololol, indeed it gets embarrasing when older guys pester you for your number. my sister and i experienced that a lot when we were younger all i did was give them that stern unconfusing look and tell never to try that again, for mii i don't play when it comes to stuff like that, i deliberately forget the "respect your elders" that i grew up learning 'cos i know what it means to be molested and end up being blamed for encouraging the molestor

welcome on board and good thing u started on this thread but to tell you something the tongues that needs to be interpreted isn't the regular tongues rather it's the tongues that has to do with prophesying that should be interpreted, when you hear bunch of pentecostals speaking in tongues it is them talking to God and not for anyone to understand what they are saying but when u go to a pentecostal church and u hear one person alone speaking aloud in tongues and the others keeping quiet, that is the kind of tongue that paul said if there's no one to interpret be quiet and watch this, everytime it is genuine there is always an interpreter or the speaker gets the interpretation of it. at least in my church the spirit of discernment operates and once someone is prophesying in tongues and another starts to speak that person is hushed by a soft pat on the shoulder. so it's not that they are imitating or learning to speak, it takes you to experience it to know what it's all about.
