The mistake that u ppl do from far is u dnt understand the political implications of fielding Christian in a majority Muslims state or fielding Muslim in a majority Christian state to a political party. Fielding Christian in Kogi, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Adamawa is a political blunder just like fielding Muslim candidate in Plateau and Taraba. Those religious extremist among the populace don't understand the political implications of all this but still remain adamant and keep pushing for something that won't amount to anything positive or loss, do u think Politicians care about religion when it comes to personal gain?
The biggest question you should ask urself is why Adamawa, Gombe, Kaduna, Nasarawa, Kogi give Deputy Governor position to Christian despite the fact that they can win election even if they field Muslim-Muslim candidates?
On the other hand why the religious fanaticism and extremism of Christians never allow them to consider justice and fair play to give Muslims the same chance in Plateau state just like how Muslims do.
This is the work of CAN, so greedy and never consider fair play or political balance but always looking for way to dominate and celebrate mediocrity. Do u vividly remember the case of ailing Suntai and his death in Taraba? After his death Muslim took over and he had the chance to forcefully declare himself PDP candidate at the end of the tenure but he didn't and stepdown for the interest of party to win.
Those from far south don't know how peaceful Christians and Muslims live or the level of fair play they receive in the North because we see thm as Northerners, brothers and we'll always keep their interest first before any other person from other region but recent ethno-religious politics is changing the political landscape. Ordinary appointment of Muslim in Plateau state those ppl will go against it while in all those states I mentioned many Christian enjoy their full right fairly.
