Of all the countries that ban twitter, Nigeria is the only one that claims to operate a democracy.... The rest, China, Iran, Turkmenistan etc don't operate a democracy.

Not just that, but Nigeria is projected to become the 3rd most populous nation on Earth after India and China by 2050.

No big firm in their right mind wants to be excluded from the Nigerian market going forward.

So Twitter are very unhappy about this ban.

See, we could not say these things about your little 'Biafra', 'Oduduwa', 'Arewa', 'Niger Delta' etc new republics you want to replace Nigeria with.

You would each become like Sierra Leone. Togo. Burkina Faso. Guinea. Ignored by the world, and bullied by the likes of France.
