AWKA—First Anambra Election Petition Tribunal headed by Justice Nayai Aganaba, has expressed shock over the decision of candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Nnamdi Eze, to concede defeat to his opponent, Mr. Dozie Nwankwo, of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the March 28, 2015 election for Anaocha/Njikoka/Idumukofia Federal constituency.
PDP and Nnamdi Eze confessed that APGA’s Dozie Nwankwo actually won the election .
The dramatic concession, which elicited wide laughter in court, came up when the second and third respondents to the petition, Dr. Eze and PDP respectively, admitted that a polling unit by polling unit computation of all the valid votes clearly showed that Mr. Nwankwo won the election by a wide margin, hence he should have been returned elected.

I remembered Abagworo. 3 months ago mocked Anambra about stadium availability. Today Heartland of Owerri have been banished to Rojenny Oba Anambra state till further notice by LMC and they played their first match week 13 game at Oba yesterday.

I was at Lekan salami stadium in Ibadan where Enyimba held 3sc to a goaless draw when news filtered that our Anaedo maxquerade (ifeanyiuba Fc) was causing havoc at d Jemeta staduim in Katsina (El kenemi's new home ground) all thanks to the experienced sani Keita whom has brought with him a lot of wealthy experience.

Ifeanyiuba opened the score sheet in the 14th min by Onyedikachi's strike and two minutes later was doubled by solomon Eludi in the 17th. Eludi made it three with a brace in the 62nd minute before Onyedikachi finally buried d game in the 75th minute. El kenemi however got a consolation goal in the stoppish time.

Ifeanyiuba are currently 3rrd on the NPFL table.

Anambra State sports enthusiasts are excited by the prospect of hosting the first ever national athletics competition in the State. Anambra, is the home of Nigerian athletics great like Innocent Egbunike and Mary Onyali, but has no track facility until recent when the State sgovernor, Willy Obiano paid for the installation of a tartan track at the Rojenny Stadium Oba, near Onitsha. The first leg of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria Golden League will be the first meet to be held at the Stadium and the State. N1.5m is up for grabs in the competition, which will hold on Thursday. To qualify for the jackpot prize, an athlete must win in all legs of Golden League and must participate at the Golden League Final. All the athletes participating in the entered into the Golden League events Men Golden League events 100 m, 200m ,400m, 800m, 1,500m, 110m Hurdles , 4x100m Relay and 4x400m Relay, High Jump, Long Jump, and Javelin and for women 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m , 400m Hurdles , 4x100m Relay , 4x 400m relay ,High Jump Long Jump and Shot put 15.46 m are entitled to share in the jackpot prize, if they meet the established requirements. Athletes must score a minimum of 1070 points for track sprint events and 1050 for other track events. For jumps, athletes must score a minimum of 1050 points and score a minimum of 900 points for throw events. In Race Walk, athletes must score a minimum of 700 points and 350 points for men and women respectively

I noticed that people from other tribes who did business in Onitsha learn Igbo language quickly. I met a Yoruba man in Lagos who was once a tailor in Onitsha and was surprised that he was more fluent in Igbo more than me. In Benue, I met a Tiv lab scientist who use to sell yam at Ose. His own was extreme. He can't make more than three sentence in Igbo without including any of our adage. So I begin to wonder why it is easier for those staying in Onitsha to achieve fluency in our language easily.

It's probably because Igbo is the main language used in communication especially in the markets.

A lotta folks here are just being unnecessarily very emotional about their love for alaigbo. They tell white lies and when you try to correct them, they label you an enemy. All this hostility directed towards me is simply because i refused to join the bandwagon of those ignorantly placing Awka above its level. Anyway, nothing anybody says here will stop me from chipping in my opinion whenever need be. I don't believe anybody loves Anambra state more than i do, but i won't celebrate lies. Never!

I was chatting playfully with a hausa man just two days ago and he called me Okokporo in igbo. At first, i was shocked and inquired to know if he knew the meaning of the word he used. Then he told me to go and get married so as to start fending for my kids.
The man's brother later told me that the man sells onions in Onitsha and has been in the trade for years.
I have seen several hausa and yoruba men who can communicate fluently in igbo even more than some igbo people. Their only difference with igbos who can speak other nigerian languages is that they hardly speak it amongst themselves.
