Blizzy9ja: furking ediot always trying to tribalise everything... An NDLEA official recently disclosed in a radio programme that 3 million bottles of codeine is consumed everyday in the north-east alone, Since the religion in the north forbids them from taking alcohol they have resorted to all other forms of drugs abuse to stay high. Codeine, tramadol, volume5, shoe-maker's gum, even gutter. The hausa guy down the street does not sell alcohol in his provision shop but trust me he has tramadol... Just try and find out. Gbam! You are very right. Even some hausas that hawk cigarettes and stuff in the north do sell some of those outlawed tablets and it's consumed by their hausa youths mostly. In the middle belt, they do more of dry gin commonly called goskolo while the muslim guys who detest alcohol can drink or smoke any shiit to get high. Some go as far as inhaling petrol and chemicals used as adhesives. I don see this severally |

I don't want to believe this happened of recent. Must be as a result of one of the many senseless wars fought in Africa over the years, leading to hunger and disease. Too bad! Stuff like this makes one reason inline with Nas- "...why were we born in the first place, if this is how we gonna go?" God knows best |

Politics › ICC Investigates Oba Of Lagos For Anti-igbo Remarks by Zonacom(op): 9:44am On Aug 24, 2015 |
The International Criminal Court has commenced investigation of the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, for statements made about the Igbo’s in the build-up to the Lagos governorship election. In the statement, available on line, Mr. Akiolu vowed that Igbos in Lagos who voted against his preferred candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode, would sink in the Lagoon. Mr. Ambode of the APC eventually defeated Jimi Agbaje of the PDP in a highly contested election. The son of a late former governor of old Anambra State, Josef Onoh, on April 21, petitioned the ICC on the statement and asked the world jury to investigate the threat and bring the monarch to justice. The ICC had earlier in the year acknowledged receipt of Mr. Onoh’s petition and promised to give consideration to his request. Mr. Onoh petitioned the ICC saying he believes that Mr. Akiolu’s threat amounted to a call for violence to be perpetrated against the Igbo in Lagos in the event that the APC governorship candidate loses the election, which he noted violates Article 20 of the International convention and elimination of all forms of racial discrimination. “Had the threat been made by any lesser person we would have dismissed same as an idle threat, but coming from the Oba of Lagos himself, it was a call to arms and an incitement to violence against the Igbos,” Mr. Onoh wrote. In a second correspondence to Mr. Onoh with reference number OTP-CR-140/15, dated August 13 2015, ICC’s Head of the Information & Evidence unit in the office of the prosecutor, M.P. Dillion, said they were analyzing the situation identified in his petition with the assistance of other related communications and other available information. Part of the ICC’s latest letter to Mr. Onoh reads: “Under article 53 of the Rome statute, the prosecutor must consider whether there is a reasonable basis to believe that crimes within the jurisdiction of the court have been committed, the gravity of the crimes, whether national systems are investigating and prosecuting the relevant crimes, and the interests of justice.” Acknowledging receipt of the petition, Mr. Dillon said: “This communication has been duly entered in the communications register of the office.” http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/188829-icc-investigates-oba-of-lagos-for-anti-igbo-remarks.html |

Rochas Okorocha should learn from Anambra state government on how to provide quality rural roads and not the nonsense he's been constructing.

joeisreal: Governor Willie Obiano should be given every support he needs. He is a MAN among men with all the successes he keeps recording when other state governors are going to the media wailing on how they cannot meet the commonest of their responsibilities which is to pay workers' salaries. Some of these governors still retain bloated allowances to themselves especially that ridiculous perk they call security vote. Our Governor Willie Obiano is indeed a great man.
I will also urge that we start channelling some of the contracts to appropriate departments in Universities as these fund will be useful for departmental upkeep and will engage the students either during I.T(Industrial attachment) or during long vacations. For Example the department of Civil Engineering in a higher institution in Anambra state can be given a street road reconstruction contract that will help as a practical or hands-on approach for the students of that department to practice what they learnt in the class. A contract for a state owned ID card can be outsourced to the Statistics department of a higher institution in the state too. We should not wait for young people of our great state to graduate maybe at 22 or 23 years before they start learning how to be entrepreneurs and good managers. CATCH THEM YOUNG!!! www.jaraplus.com I remember my chaplain back in school kept hammering about this during homily at mass whenever he senses the presence of govt officials. It's unfortunate that people in power prefer giving out contracts only to friends and acquaintances as reward for support during campaigns. Anambra should set the pace on that regard. |

Anambra would have gone very far by now if not for the charlatan petty criminal called Peter obi we used to have as governor for 8 years. For the first time, we are seeing solid infrastructure in the state FYI, Anambra would have been among the states owing workers salaries if not for what peter obi did. Like him or hate him, Obiano is celebrated today because Obi handed him a financially healthy state. |

uduokirika1: The Permanent Site of the Hospital is at Umudim Nnewi though shares borders with Ozubulu and Ezinifite. But can be described as one year one block imagine a project started since 2000. Though some projects within the premises have been completed including the Unizik college of Health sciences while some are at different. Stages of completion. Currently. Works are ongoing on the iinternal roads.
As for relocating from the temp site to d perm site I don't know how soon it will be 'cos a lot have to be done to enhance the landscape aesthetics! And we had an igbo man as minister of health for a long while, yet he couldn't achieve any tangible thing for the SE. Sometimes i just wonder how some projects that couldn't be completed during GEJ's tenure will be completed now. Even projects as small as the Zik mausoleum was left unfinished after 6years with GEJ on top despite the fact we gave him almost 100% of our votes in 2011. If Buhari's recent 95%, 5% comment is anything to go by, then i think we shouldn't expect any serious federal presence in Alaigbo for the next 4 years. Buhari is doing everything possible to rehabilitate areas in the north ravaged by insurgency. But GEJ couldn't clean up the oil spills in the Niger delta, neither could he salvage the gully erosion sweeping the SE and SS states rather he was more concerned with pacifying the north, but they only hated him more. A lot of things annoy me about Gej's administration. I just hope ndigbo won't repeat thesame political miscalculation we did over the last few years. The Ijaw, and other ethnic groups of the SS who we consider as brothers do not see us as same. They only agree we are related when it suits their propaganda, else, they distance themselves from us as much as they can. |
