Nobody is saying Awka is the most beautiful capital in the whole world, but if you know how Awka was about 15 years ago, then you will understand why we are happy with the new look of the city. I'm not here for dick measuring, but how many state capitals presently can match Awka infrastructurally? A few, just a few.

Seriously you guys should stop this already. Awka is developing fast but it's still far behind and cant be compared with a lot of state capitals in Nigeria. What infrastructures are we even talking about? buildings? cos that's all Awka got for now. Lets stop the exaggeration cos its getting laughable. A lot of state capitals in the North even are far more developed than Awka. Maybe in years to come, we'll have that state capital we dream of but for now, we don't have that.

I so love and respect this woman. I can remember the first and only time i saw her; 2011, at St Joseph the worker catholic chaplaincy in Awka, when she came campaigning for the senatorial seat of Anambra central. I voted her and wished she won.

Don't easily get carried away by the structures you see from outside. Most of the above health centres are ill equipped. The state university teaching hospital is still far from standard, though i must admit it's getting better gradually.
I hope more people will invest in the health sector in the state to prevent people from seeking medical services outside the state. Some time ago, i saw a beautiful hospital structure around the secreteriat area in Awka. I hope to see more of such.
If you visit places like Jos, you will realise Anambra don't have much health facilities like you think.
