Since late november, its been cold in jos, but the temperatures fell more as from yesterday. I love it cos its good for my business |
*Yawns* |
[b]Obi is a fo'sho governor.. In the course of his administration, he has handed out more cheques to people than all other governors put together.. He handed out over 30million Naira Cheque to Chikason for road construction he handed out 200 million Naira cheques to 2 private Universities in Anambra for no apparent reason. He handed out billions in cheque to the Anglican & catholic churches to rehabilitate mission schools He handed out a 50 million Naira Cheque to saint Charles Bonnereo hospital Infact, google Peter Obi hands out Cheques and see what you will get.. ![]() Thats why in my village, we call him Gov. Peter Donatus Cheques Obi..
Fortunately for anambra, his style is paying off, especially in education and health sectors. Even the world bank confirmed this recently |
9icest: ;DThe injury-time governor.I used to think same too. But i think what obi is doing now is how he'd always wanted to do it |
asha 80: it seems the catholic church is involved in lots of activities in anambra state. And the anglican church too. |
This is A GoldMine!. What is Stopping Those in Govt over The years in Anambra-State not to develop This ECONOMIC MANNA I don't know!
What i saw there in 2011 when i visited was a beautiful waterfall and cave wasting away. The road leading to the place was very bad and almost unmotarable. At a point we had to treck for a long distance on foot through slopes to locate the place. I think it will cost the govt a lot to fix the place to required standards. But i have no doubt the govt will get a lot of revenue from the place if fixed. |
asha 80: and some people believe it should not be explored now?Dont mind those hypocrites. Anybody who goes there would wonder why the state govt neglects the place. And when the govt decides to do something (like they are doing at agulu lake), same people will come out to shout 'misuse of public funds'. |
asha 80: this kind of place exists in anambra?Yea bro. Have been there once. Just pure nature |
biafranqueen: That is all fine and dandy, but this should not be the top priority for Anambra State Asha. If you want to build a hotel so that business people can come here and do business that is making sense, but for tourism, which is a usually a family attraction, we still have safety issues that need to be resolved. When it comes to business a person can take all types of risk to embark on increasing profits. The main road to this hotel that would bring tourist is not even ready to carry them. Or is that part of the plan give them whiplash so they can use spa services.I think you dont understand the reasons obi gave for embarking on this project. Do you know that as it stands now, no hotel in anambra is worthy of hosting any major conference, be it political or otherwise? Yes, the private sector should do that, but the state won't keep waiting for private individuals. Morethan 30 hotels abound in awka but none is actually worthy of the name. And again, did you missed the part where obi mentioned that the hotel would serve to accomodate investors? If obi of all governors will embark on a project like this, then i believe it was borne out of necessity. Gov obi is not known for this kind of projects. |
asha 80: for someone who has lived long in usa i find it funny you are asking this question...why do people visit rock of gilbralter....no be to see rock?why do people go to game reserve....no be to watch animals?God bless you bro. Agulu lake has even got some history about some crocodiles in the water. I have been to owerre-ezukala cave and God knows i enjoyed it. People who visit Nike lake in enugu dont go there to swim. |
biafranqueen: What will the tourist do as far as attractions? Just visit caves? Would you swim in that lake? We need to change the image of our state before we start inviting tourists. We should be focusing in the industrial aspect of our state, that is where the money is don't you agree?Do tourists swim in the Nike lake in enugu state? |
phantom: oga you are smarter than this.please no fall your hand here.peter is one of our leaders in the south east.he is our son.we should be able to criticise constructively.now let me ask you in your heart of hearts, is this a project the state govt should be undertaking? Please be objective.arent there more important things? Honestly we igbos have learnt tribalism for others but we seem to have overtaken those who taught us.the oduah case readily comes to mind. |

Have you been to Agulu lake before? I believe this project is not just about building a hotel. Its about making agulu lake a tourist destination. Left to me, i would say obi should extend developments like this to other tourist sites like ogbunike cave and owerre-ezukala cave. |

Sloan: Is it world class??Lets say the dress is APGA's official uniform. And if you ask me, its nothing to be bitter about. So jee gbalu ogwu gi nuo nwanne |
But seriously, i dont understand some people. Must you guys complain over everything? Innitially, the complaints were that obi do not have taste for modernization, he's only after rural development and so on. Now he has decided to modernize the cities a little, and some of you are complaining again. Very soon, reconstruction of the enugu onitsha expressway together with its streetlighting will start and i know some of you guys will still come out to spew BS. The most annoying thing is that most of those complaining dont even know what Anambra looks like. |

sincerenigerian: Shaking my head in disbelief. Portable water indeed. Celebration of mediocrity.Impostor |
Same people who claim not to wear Aba made are the ones that patronize 'bend down select' more. |
All three are beautiful. But to me, love>money>sex. However, love seems not to be in existence in our time. So money is the main thing. With money, you can buy yourself a lotta sex |
Could this be true? Too bad |
Where is yours?
I love this new you even though i did'nt get much confrontation with the old you. How does it feel to be a non-mod nairalander? |
That port is simply being overhyped. From what i'v seen there severally, i dont think any ship or big vessel will sail there any time soon. |
It's all for show. To make the wedding fun.
But seriously, this your fantasy babe make sense die. Ogugua or nkem or whatever |
NO! |
Noticed a lot of mistakes with this report. The journalist(s) that compiled this should be flogged. |
ebamma: .Nice signature bro. So true about me |
clans: probably what the supposed priest meant was that Jesus carried on like catholics do today.and please we dont do no rituals. what is wrong with you people. live and let live please.. just hush it!!!Dont get it twisted bro. The word Rituals is highly misunderstood. Catholics do rituals. I am a catholic myself. Infact their is a book in the church known as the book of rituals. The sacrament of baptism as well as many other practices in the church are rituals. Jesus himself performed a ritual when he washed his disciples' feet. Just check out the meaning of the word. And as for okotie and his likes, an igbo saying has it that 'what a person does not know, is morethan him'. |
Billyonaire: You have a valid point, but will the "Sinators" enact such law which tantamount to their self-induced political suicide ? Hell to the No!!! And lest I forget, do you think "Sinators" are bound by 2 terms ? Hell to the No!!!! You can remain in Senate for a lifetime as far as your constituency keeps returning you. If I am lying, ask David Mark. And the irony is that their long stay in the senate house is of little or no benefit to their constituency. That of David Mark is even annoying. Whenever i pass through otukpo to the east, i keep wandering why his zone keep returning him to the house cos the state of the federal roads in that area is an eyesore. |

Ilugunboy, me thinks that constitution needs to be amended. Come to think of it, ngige's absence at the chambers denied anambra central, senatorial representation for a quite a long while. So if ngige had won, electorates in anambra central will be subjected to another rigorous voting excercise. IMO, serving senators should'nt contest for another elective office while their current tenure is still far from finished |
