musicwriter:It doesn't appear to be a woman-like ability issue, rather the ideological posturing of the Democratic party. Their ideas are not appealing to the majority of Americans. Harris campaign was based almost entirely on abortion rights and cultural issues which appear to be too extreme to the majority. Republicans had a fun time attacking them on this. It's almost as if the issues which used to win over voters for Democrats were abandoned. The way I see it, the Republican party may be the first to elect a female president, except Democrats field a Margaret Thatcher-kind of female presidential candidate. 2 Likes |

CoronaVirusPro:Absolutely! Biden/Harris alienated different blocs of voters : Arab-Americans, Latinos, working class. Ironically, it's not like Trump has anything good in stock for them but the simple fact that he at least, appeared to care about the different issues facing those sets of voters throughout the campaign made him victorious. For example, Trump is undoubtedly pro-Israel, even quoted saying he'd give Israel everything they need to "finish off" Palestine. But then the same man was strategically courting Arab-American voters in Michigan. At a point, he even invited Imams/Muftis to his rally. Meanwhile, Harris was shutting the pro-Palestine people away from her campaign. She was spending a lot of time courting "moderate" Republicans who were not really going to vote for her anyway. Trump will put on a shitshow for his four years. And that would create a favourable environment for Democrats. That's certain. Democrats better learn from this and put their acts together because even if come 2028, and the environment is favourable to them, they may still find themselves in the same position. |

Other times, she appeared to dance around the issue without actually taking a stance. By this, she alienated Arab-American voters. She could have won Michigan with the support of that bloc. Ideally, if there is a high democratic turnout for a democratic candidate, he'd have a high total popular vote, but such candidate can still go on to lose the electoral vote. |

The Supreme Court has original jurisdiction to hear matters where the parties involved are the Federal Government, state governments, the National Assembly, or the Presidency, These anti-graft agencies are federal agencies and do not fall within the category of parties required to trigger the Supreme Court's original jurisdiction. |

Topman7:Now, use your own brain and think critically. Yes, it is true that it might support Nigerian content creators, but since when did protectionism alone become a guarantee for economic growth? Real economic development is driven by quality and global competitiveness. Even if foreign cartoons are banned, if the locally produced ones are not marketable, there will zero impact. If we truly want to indigenize and create value, what the FG needs to do is to invest in infrastructure, skill development, and ensure that our local content can stand on its own in the global market. Simply banning foreign cartoons won't magically grow the economy. It’s about building quality, not just closing the door. |

COOL10:I expected this same bogus narrative you keep pushing . You've criticised BBC and CNN so I'm of the impression that you watched from one of the conservative news outlet. If it's not Fox News, maybe NewsMax or OAN. If you watched from any of those, so you think your claim about media bias hold any water? Anyway, after watching the ABC live coverage, I went to watch Fox's live recorded coverage. And as as matter of fact, there was no difference. Same performance, same questions and answers. So the story you're pushing that one network makes one candidate looks better than the other is obviously an attempt to implicitly admit Trump performed terribly and crown him as the winner. And yes, Kamala interrupted him twice. I bet he was waiting for that moment to pass. He literally said "I'm speaking , remember that?". Lol That smacks of desperation to give that response. But guess what, he didn't really work out well for him though. They were low energy responses. He himself hated the way he had his mouth glued throughout. That's not the typical Trump. He looked helpless throughout. And of course, they touched on every topic except that neither of them went into the specifics. Though, Kamala outlined her goals, she didn't go into the details. Trump, not exactly. Just the exact same things he repeats to his base on the campaign trails. If you're capable of objectivity, there's no way you'd watch that debate and not conclude that Kamala did much better 2 Likes |

ijustdey:Even if he's truly sidelined, it's absolutely normal. In fact, that's how it should be. The VP must always stay in the shadows. The president is and must remain the star of the administration. Constitutionally, VPs don't have a role. It is what the president tell him to do that he would do. The president defines what the VP's role is. It's practically a useless political position, except, of course, the fact that it's a breath away from the presidency. But then again, no VP has successfully gone on to become president, so politically, it's not necessarily advantageous. Edit: I should note that Goodluck Jonathan did become president after Yaradua passed away in office. However, every other VP that has tried to attain that feat by contesting directly for it has always been hindered by powers that be. Take Atiku and Osibanjo. 2 Likes |

In 2018, Republicans lost the House. 2020, Biden trounced him. 2022, Republicans, though regained majority but by a just 8 seats. Omoawoke:You all need to stop repeating this "America will not vote a woman" narrative. Hillary Clinton won the popular vote with more than two million votes. She didn't become president only because she lost the electoral college in a few key swing states she had hoped to win naturally. She'd have won had she campaign rigorously in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Yet, she lost by an aggregate of less than 170,000 votes in those three states put together. It was so close. This is now 2024. A lot of sane independents and even some moderate Republicans have seen Trump for the nuisance that he is. The circumstances now are different.
