A Chinese mother has been caught by Chinese authorities after she tried to sell her twin babies for 65,000 yuan(₦3,319,021) in order to purchase a new phone.

The single mother, Ma, who is in her 20s, said she sold off her babies because she was penninless and heavily in debt.

She said her boyfriend denied her and refused to take responsibility. She also said her parents had threatened to provide no help because they were angry about the pre-marital pregnancy.

According to Chinese authorities, she sold one of the babies for 45,000 yuan(₦2,297,784) and the other one for 20,000(₦1,021,237).

She sold the baby together with her boyfriend, whose name is Wu, that refused to take responsibility. She then used her shares to buy a new mobile phone, and her boyfriend used his own share of the money to payback his gambling debts, according to SAYS news.

However, Authorities say the boyfriend is nowhere to be found. The babies were recovered after the police traced the two couples that brought the baby.

Meanwhile, the babies have been returned to their mother's parents, according to Chinese news site AsiaOne.

The Queen of Malaysia, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, has deleted her official Twitter account to express her disapproval over the action taken by the Malaysian Police to arrest her critics.

Queen Tunku Iskandariah, who had previously deactivated her account when several individuals were arrested for making critical comments against her, said that she is upset on the police crackdown on her critics and want it to stop.

In a tweet on her now-deleted Twitter account, she stated that she was upset. According to SAYS news, she deleted her account for the second time after her tweets had already gone viral and had been picked up already by several local news medias.

Currently, the Twitter handle which the Queen uses "@cheminahsayang" no longer exists, a check on Twitter shows.



However, the last tweet before she took down her account stated that she deleted her Twitter her Twitter account due to personal reasons. Read her tweets below:

A Chinese farmer released a strange footage showing how a four-metre-long python regurgitated a goat it swallowed as a whole.

The farmer, Mr Yao, found the python lying on a hill near his goat farm in Anxi county, in the Southern Fujian province, in China, according to the Daily Mirror.

He said this is not the first time this is happening. He claims that 20 of his goats have went missing since the beginning of this year. When he saw the python lying on the hill with a bulging stomach, he knew it had swallowed one of his goats.

Donald Trump has fired US National Security Adviser John Bolton. Trump announced the news on Twitter on Tuesday, saying:

A Twitter user under the handle ''@SomilaMlisana'' narrated on her Twitter page on how she almost got killed by a kidnapper.

She said the abductor came out of the bush while she got down from a taxi, and attacked her with a stone. But he stopped the attack on her when she fell on the road where cars where passing by.

She claims she has a clear description of the kidnapper. According to her, the kidnapper is a man, tall and and was putting on a dark blue hoodie and a black beanie.

Someone, who appeared to be her saviour, recorded the video when she was seen crying and trembling that she almost got killed. Luckily, she escaped uninjured with all her belongings still intact.

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to the death of Former Zimbabwean President, Robert Mugabe, who died today aged 95.

Atiku, in a series of tweet today, expressed deep condolences to his family. Here is Atiku Abubakar's heartfelt message:

"Robert Mugabe was a hero of the African liberation struggle. No man is perfect and he had his flaws, but nobody can take this fact away from him: That he loved his country and its people, and took practical and patriotic steps to improve their well being."

Babagana Zulum, who is currently in Japan with President Buhari for the Tokyo International Conference for African Development, was wished a happy birthday by the All Progressive Congress(APC).

Popular TV adventurer, Bear Grylls, was rushed to medical care after he was stung by a bee, while filming his TV series, Treasure Island.

The 45-year-old father of three was travelling by a boat with the TV show's participants on a remote island when he was stung. He was feared to have gone into anaphylactic shock due to his allergy to bees stings.

The brain surgeon who attended to Bear Grylls said: ''I think that Bear is an impressive guy. He understands his task at hand and knows what he has to achieve.''

''The irony of Bear the survivor being stung, having the potential of an allergic reaction, and needing to be treated with an EpiPen, was a bizarre moment. That was crazy!''

The first democratically elected president of Gambia, Dawda Jawara, has passed away at age 95.

Gambia's President, Adama Barrow, has expressed his condolences in a press release on the Gambian Presidency official Twitter account.

He described his death as "a great loss to the country and humanity in general." He also called him "a champion of international peace, justice and humanity."

He remained in power until 1994 when he was overthrown in a military coup by Yahya Jammeh, who ruled Gambia with an iron-fist for 22 years.

If you've noticed these days, android game developers come up with different games so as to fit in the 'gaming world'. This is exactly what the developers of Broworld is trying to do. Broworld is just another life simulator game.

Broworld is similar to one of my favorite life simulator game, DBag Beach Club, only that Broworld is kinda more fun and isn't that much ridiculous. It is disappointing that this game is not that adventurous as the developer has stated.

Before I jump into the review, let me briefly talk about the developer of Broworld. Broworld was developed by SPORE Productions. The make small indie games on tablets and smart phones. They have developed games like Crazy Egg ansd Spore cubes.

Storyline

The game is about you(whatever your character's name might be) doing whatever it takes to get your dream girl, Jennifer. In your noble quest, you will have to earn, flirt, fight, dress classically, and exercise your way to the top. That's just it, your hours or days of game play will be on this.

Gameplay

When you start the game, you customize and give your character a name, just like what you would do in any life simulator game. Then a short cut scene of you and two guys, Jo and Mike. These guys would introduce you to the 'douchebag' world.

So, your character is just one regular and jobless guy who lives with his grandmother and has a classy girl to be his crush and the only way to win her heart is by being a notorious douchebag.

After the short introduction, you get a text message message from your grandmother, saying she will be moving to Florida for the rest of the season and left you in charge of the house. This is where the game begins. There are four important things to take note in the game, they are: Self esteem, Doucheness, Muscle and Energy. Throughout the game, you work on these to complete the game.

Energy is the most important of all. This enables you to carry out moves in the game. You have a maximum energy of 100, for every action you take in the game, your energy decreases. The only way you can refill your energy is by eating food in your house. For you to eat, you have to blend your food. You have your own recipe and you must mix it together in the blender in the correct order. If you don't put it in the correct order, your energy will be boosted by 15 instead of 33.

Doucheness is the main thing you are working towards for the completion of the game. Your aim is to get your doucheness to level 75 as a requirement to be able to date Jennifer. There are ways you can increase your doucheness. The first is by flirting with girls. The higher the number of girls you flirt with, the higher your doucheness level goes up.

Flirting with girls is somehow fun in the game. Before you can flirt, you have to meet a girl's requirement or interest such as a tanned skin, clothes, cars, muscle, etc. And also, after you've met her interest, it is time to get her to your house but before that, you would be given a mini game, if you pass the mini game, you are alright, but if you fail it, it means the girl has fallen in love with you, which is terrible because the next time you flirt with another girl, she would block your chances which would reduce your self esteem and you would eventually lose the girl you are trying to flirt with. What I find funny is you can't flirt with your shirts on on the beach.

Flirting at times can be annoying. A girl's interest might have a lesser worth than what you have and she will still reject you. I once put on a shirt worth $4000 and and the girl's interest was a shirt worth $1000, she rejected me. It was so annoying.

Also, flirting is interrupted at times when you are given a task to carry out. For instance, at the beach, you might be periodically called by Jo or Mike to 'silence' and show-off other dudes causing trouble. If you don't, you won't be able to flirt with girls at that location. To be able to complete these objectives at times, you need to have be superior in a way such as having a stronger and higher muscle.

Another way of increasing your doucheness is by fighting other douchebags, yeah! I really like this one. For you to successfully beat up other guys, you have to do workouts frequently which would increase your muscle. I have picked up a fight with 62 douchebags and I won all the fight. Sometimes, before you can flirt with a girl, if she has a boyfriend he might challenge you and if you lose, you won't get the girl. At times doucheness also increases when buy stuffs for yourself, your crib or your car. Increasing you doucheness helps unlock other recipes for refilling your energy. Whenever your doucheness bar is filled, new stuffs will be available to purchase at the mall.

The delivery time when you buy something from the mall is pointless. When you go to the mall to buy stuffs for your house or gym equipment for yourself, you will have to wait for minutes or even hours before it is delivered to your house.

I really don't get the developer's idea on self esteem. Anyway, self esteem is what enables you to flirt with girls. The only way to get self esteem is by buying stuffs for your house. Remember you live in your grandma's house and it is small, how many stuffs do you have to buy for your house to replenish your self esteem? The only time you would get a new house is when your doucheness level gets to 15. I had to keep on buying and disposing stuffs. It was very annoying.

And then you have muscle. At the beginning of the game, you are only given $30 to start with. You are to get tanning cans with it which cost $20. The tanning cans are your first gym equipment. I personally advise you to do workouts at least twice in every hour. Remember I stated above that I beat up other dudes, the only secret to that is daily workout. Although, you have 10 seconds to do 5 dumbbell lift. You can do it repeatedly but remember, 10 energy point is removed for each workout.

I think muscles are somehow important. I noticed that girls at the beach mostly like guys with strong muscle and tanned skin. Tanning is expensive though, costs around $5000 and some annoying girls will still say your skin isn't tanned enough. Just as a reminder, higher muscles also makes fights easier. If you don't play the game for a while, your muscle decreases, so you have to be on it frequently.

Earning money in this game is easy. The first job you get is from your grandmother paying you $2 for running errands, not really errand though. So, your first job's pay is $2, all you have to do is just click and click within the time range of 10 seconds. Each time you have finished working, a progress bar reads, when this progress bar is filled, a new job is unlocked. The more new jobs are unlocked, the higher the pay. Sounds easy, right? You get a notification hourly to come and work.

Graphics is poor

Both the douhebags and the the girls, especially Jenifer, Cindy and Mindy, looks ugly. Jo and Mike looks are even worse. Apart from the dressing, there is no difference between your character when he started his journey and now that he is a douchebag. The developers would have done a great job if they make improvements to the graphics.

Small map

The map of Broworld is really small, considering the fact that it is a life simulator. The only locations in the game is a beach, a club, three houses and the mall. The bank isn't part of the gameplay, so it is excluded. The only location that his available to the player at the beginning of the game is your house, the mall and the beach. Some locations will be unlocked after meeting a new character such as meeting Cindy and Mindy will unlock the club and a new house will be unlocked, but only after you have attain certain doucheness level. The only buildings left is a mansion and a penthouse, which will be unlocked only after you have gotten rid of Jo. That is too little for a life simulator.

Is it worth playing?

Depending on how much you are looking to spend and what level of performance you are aiming for, you might be wondering if it's better to plunk down a wad of cash on a GeForce RTX 2070 (either the standard model or the Super variant) or a previous generation GeForce GTX 1080. All three launched with a $499 MSRP, putting these cards on seemingly equal footing. But are they really?

The quick and dirty answer is no, they are not, but of course things are more complicated than a simple 'yes' or 'no' response could convey. That is why we have decided to compare these GPU heavyweights, in terms of features, performance, and actual street pricing. After all, these are the things that ultimately matter when buying a graphics card (or any hardware component, really), in order to make an informed buying decision. So, let's get started.

Difference between RTX and GTX
Model names are sometimes meaningless, though that is not the case when comparing Nvidia's RTX and GTX nomenclatures. All RTX cards feature dedicated RT cores designed to muscle through real-time ray tracing chores. More recently, Nvidia updated its driver stack to also support real-time ray tracing on GTX cards from the current Turing crop and previous generation Pascal GPUs, but the lack of dedicated hardware makes it largely academic—simply put, if you are interested in enabling ray tracing in games, you should only be eyeballing an RTX card.

GeForce RTX cards also support something called deep learning super sampling (DLSS). In games that support DLSS, it is supposed to improve performance without degrading image quality. It does this by using high quality 64x sampled images to train a deep learning network. In theory, this should allow a game to render at a lower resolution, and then upscale and anti-alias the result in real time with images that look about the same as the native resolution with temporal AA. We've seen mixed results, though.

In our opinion, DLSS support is not sufficient reason alone to pick an RTX card over a GTX model, all other things being equal. Ray tracing support is arguably a bit more interesting (some may feel the opposite is true). The caveat with ray tracing is that it's still not widely employed, though the list of games is growing.

If you are wanting to enable ray tracing in games that support it, however, the RTX 2070 series is where things get interesting, particularly with the Super variant. The only cheaper options in the RTX family are the RTX 2060 Super and RTX 2060. The RTX 2070 Super and RTX 2070 are burlier cards with more muscle to throw at ray-traced workloads.

Let's get technical
Although there are a handful of GeForce GTX cards that are based on Nvidia's current generation Turing GPU, the GTX 1080 is not one of them—it features a previous generation Pascal GPU. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the last presidential election, Atiku Abubakar have lost an appeal they filed at the Supreme Court.

The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) had earlier ruled that the PDP and Atiku do not have a reply to an application filed on May 14, 2019 by the All Progressives Congress (APC) seeking among others, the dismissal of their (Atiku and the PDP) case challenging President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory at the last presidential election.

Ruling on the appeal marked SC/738/2019 on Tuesday, a five-man panel of the apex court led by Justice Datijo Mohammed, states that the appeal had become statute barred, and hence struck it out.

A Kenyan Chef, Maliha Mohammad, on Sunday,
broke the Guinness World Record for the longest time spent cooking. She started cooking on Thursday, August 15 at 10am and completed it on Sunday, August 18 at 1:03pm, totalling 75 hours 3 minutes, breaking the previous record of 68 hours 30 minutes.

The 36-year-old mother of two from Mombasa, Kenya, cooked 400 recipes non-stop at the Kenya Bay Beach Resort in Mombasa, resting for only 30 minutes of every 12 hours of cooking.

She is the first African to break the record. Speaking at the Kenyan Bay Beach Hotel after her completion, she said: "The journey has been tiresome. My legs are very painful, my eyes are hurting due to lack of enough sleep, but I am grateful to have achieved this."

Her achievement is expected to be announce within next week and her name will be included in the Guinness Book of Record.

A bomb explosion at a wedding ceremony hall in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, on Saturday has left 63 people dead, Afghanistan Interior Ministry reports. 182 people has also been reportedly injured.

The explosion occurred near the stage where musicians were, and all the guests, mostly children and youths, were all killed.

The groom, identified as Mirwais, told local TV reporters that his brother, friends, and relatives were killed in the explosion. He also said heis bride's family are in deep shock and his bride is in a state of confusion.

Meanwhile, the President of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani, has condemned the attack. In a tweet on Sunday, he stated that the 'Taliban cannot absolve themselves of blame, for they provide platform for terrorists." Because of this attack, he cancelled the Loya Jirga tent peace talk gathering.

"I strongly condemn the inhumane attack on the wedding hall in Kabul last night. My top priority for now is to reach out to the families of victims of this barbaric attack. On behalf of this nation I send my heartfelt condolences to the families of those who were martyred," Afghanistan President, Ashraf Ghani, stated on his official Twitter account.

He also sympathized with the families of the victims, stating that the government would urgently respond to those injured and have called on extraordinary security meeting to review and prevent such security lapses.

Let’s be perfectly honest with ourselves: humans are violent creatures with strong impulses toward physically damaging each other or anything within range. It’s one of the biggest reasons we’ve survived as long as we have and while we’ve certainly learned to control those violent tendencies they still lurk just under the surface. It’s not a surprise that VR games that let you unleash some rage in a healthy way have taken off. That’s where Gorn comes in, a brilliantly over-the-top brawler that lets you vent a little anger by ripping off heads.

Basically Gorn is a straight-up arena fighter where you get dumped into a small area and have to kill the bad guys who want to show you this fancy new death thing they’ve discovered. Having spent a while in Early Access it has emerged onto VR platforms and will likely leave you wishing you had bought home insurance. There’s very little story except that there’s a crowd of floating heads demanding blood who you must salute at the start of each fight. If its gore they want, it’s Gorn they shall get.

With the headset strapped on Gorn gives you a good amount of comfort options. The default movement style involves grabbing the air and dragging yourself along which I fully admit I just could not get the hang of. Nah, standard movement was my preferred choice, though the inclusion of teleportation would have been nice for players that struggle with moving around using the sticks. There’s also smooth turn or snap turn.

Once you step onto the sandy floor of the arena it’s time to get killing. Your enemies come staggering toward you while flailing their appendages and weapons like they’re being powered by some sort of internal windmill. They’re dangerous largely by accident or sheer numbers. But that’s why they’re fun to fight, and the game revels in the carnage by happily letting you lop off limbs, decapitate goons and otherwise rip enemies to shreds while blood soaks the sand. Despite the issues with repetition, which we’ll discuss later, watching someone’s eyeballs pop out of their skull never did get old. Hell, you can even nudge the eyeballs around on the floor, though to my disappointment you can’t pick them up and fling them around.

Even the weapons you use behave according to their own barmy physics system. Pick up an axe and it wibbles and wobbles like it’s made of jelly. Grab something like a two-handed spear and the whole thing swings around, the wooden handle completely defying the laws of physics as we know them. I feel like this was a decision made to combat the fact that we don’t have true feedback in VR, meaning hitting something with a big hammer doesn’t feel right because while we can visually see the hammer impacting something we can’t really feel it. By having weapons bend and flex it helps mitigate that disconnect.

Some of the weapons you get access to are gloriously good fun, like the extendable Wolverine-style claws that can slice through limbs like butter and are also incredibly handy for just straight-up stabbing people in the head. There are axes, swords, shields, chunky hammers, bows and even wrist-mounted mini-crossbows. It all feels superb to use, with the flail being especially fun as you whirl it around your head.


The bad guys get some upgrades too, often sporting chunky armour that takes some work to get through. Or you could just slice off the single leg they left stupidly unprotected. My personal favourite tactic is to punch the helmet off, punch ’em till their dazed then pick them up and use them as a giant metal-covered meat club to bludgeon everyone else to death. It’s these small pleasures in life that keep me going.

Some missions also let the other gladiators attack each other which is where their strange physics really kick into gear. Arms whirl, limbless torsos still try to join the fray and there are weapons everywhere for you to pick up and enjoy.

It’s fantastically funny cartoon violence and a hell of a workout when you get going. The strong visual style and the fact that enemies don’t react even when you literally yank their arms off both contribute toward keeping the action feeling light and breezy, rather than dark and sadistic. Even when missing limbs or pouring blood enemies will try to make their way over to you, a bit like the Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. They just don’t give up in their quest to break your bones. Poor dudes.

The campaign is basically a series of fights against waves of enemies but does break the action up a little by capping off each series of battles with a boss. It’s here that Gorn gets to have even more fun with itself, pitting players against such horrifying foes as a dude who literally throws angry badgers at you, and another that rides atop a huge crab. Even Achilles makes an appearance, complete with obvious weakness.

There’s the option to create a custom fight if you fancy, and there are plenty of options for doing that. You can make enemies bigger, increase their head sizes, make yourself tiny, mess with gravity or just turn the amount of blood up to fecking excessive levels.

Right, so Gorn is bloody good fun and also just very, very bloody. It’s big flaw is that after you play about five minutes of Gorn you’ve seen most of what it has to offer you outside of a few weapons and bosses. Like a lot of current VR games Gorn does feel more like a tech demo than a fully-fledged video game.


But with that said it’s a little difficult to care about the lack of content when the action is flowing and the adrenaline is…er, adrenalining. Gorn is the kind of game where you can easily lose track of where you are in the room and end up on top of the couch or whacking your knuckles off the table. Or accidentally annihilating your little niece. *cough*

There’s even local four-player co-op if you happen to have enough headsets lying around, and a house the size of a warehouse. It does feel a bit tacked on and some proper online multiplayer would have been a blast, but the inclusion is welcome nonetheless.

Gorn is a prime example of these early days of VR where everything feels more like someone’s experiment rather than a big, chunky game to sink your virtual teeth into. But it’d be a straight lie to say that Gorn isn’t incredibly good fun and a fantastic game to show VR noobs, provided you remove all the valuable breakable stuff in the vicinity.
