I see set of confused people...I keep seeing Israel and USA flags...as a secessionists? They claimed British brought Nigeria upon them and now what are doing with other foreign countries....they should looked at south Sudan...they was never a time they carry another country flag until they got freedom...even their leader is not in the biafraland but speak and order from afar....

I pray Biafra comes but not this style....

You need territory to form a nation, Biafra has none yet

You need recognition form other countries...we are yet to see real and public recognition from any country

You population, I guess that one dey small but a referendum will perfect which needs the parent country to agree to it..which is difficult

South Sudan president is the vice president of Sudan...so you need a strong political backup for such agitation not an online leader

In a fight for freedom, when there are numerous group...you can't win such as ipob, massob, Zionist etc (one voice only)

If only the leader can channel his popularity in fighting south east governors to develop the state, create one party system like APGA...be the political stronghold of the eastern state...then Agitation can create fear but instead he was busy proving Buhari is dead, cabals in Aso rock etc...
your opinion ends here in nairaland trash till you go outside there and implement that style. We have seen many of your kind, talk talk and more talk

Amotekun just recently assisted the police in capturing a notorious killer with charm. Read news and get info and you will know what amotekun is securing.

You can continue with your senseless protests, chest beating and online threats while your ipob brothers are getting bulalad left right and centre.

We must continue and at the end Biafra will be restored. Disregard this rubbish and see what Nnamdi Kanu posted on his page...

The Enugu Massacre of 23rd August, 2020: An Open Letter to IPOB Worldwide
By: Mazi Nnamdi Kanu
As the formidable family of IPOB Worldwide continues to mourn our braves - the # Enugu21 who fell in Defense of Freedom, I bring you the sincerest words of comfort and fortitude from the very depths of my heart.
I recognize the enormous burden this struggle has brought on our members and those that are not members but support what we do. Our various nuclear families have also suffered untold. I comfort and condole you all.
The burden of restoring Biafra is herculean and it crystallizes in the constant danger of being killed by wanton acts of Nigerian State terror unleashed by a terrorist Federal government that has successfully cowed our elected and non-elected leaders.
Since it’s now clear that those that call themselves your leaders are imprisoned by fear, I say to you - fear not; for victory and succor shall be ours in no distant future and any Biafran blood lost in this epic struggle will be requited manifold.
In my most private moments - when I reflect on this struggle and it’s fallouts- I have often been tempted, like Christ, to ask that this cup be passed from me. I’m sure you all feel the same in many fleeting moments of despair that is common with the fragile human spirit.
Yet, even as a mere mortal, I dare not relent because I know for sure that mine is a divine and generational call. I know that I must make this personal sacrifice for the collective and eternal good of our people. I ask you all to do the same, even as it is a great burden. A burden borne in blood, honor and self-denial.
Thus, I shall persevere until Biafra is restored. I ask that you do likewise. For, it is only when we demonstrate to our enemies and friends alike - the sheer will of the human mind and the indomitable spirit to free ourselves that they can take us seriously.
Yes, it’s true that we have no guns and no army but in the minds of our members lies the greatest weapon of all - the will to be free from domination and terror, the will to succeed, the will to survive, and the will to build one of the greatest nations that the world is yet to see. And soon to see.
The Biafra that lies in your spirit, the Biafra that propels you to agitate - is the greatest weapon, far greater than any guns, bullets and battle tanks. Be strengthened in the assurance that you are not alone. You are a legion.
Let this be clear: All that participate or assist in the unlawful taking of the lives of any Biafran will - thenceforth - be adequately requited through every lawful means available to us. Such lawful means include the right to self-defense, the right to repel every unlawful act of State and non-State terror.
And to those of you - Biafran or not - who have chosen the path of indifference to the human carnage and fratricide that has become Nigeria of this era, I leave you with the poignant words of Elie Wiesel, who said:
“Indifference is not a response. indifference is always the friend of the enemy, for it benefits the aggressor - never his victim - whose pain is magnified when he or she feels forgotten. And in denying their humanity, we betray our own”.
Mr Wiesel captures the true essence of true Biafrans. We are not indifferent. We are not indifferent to our own cause to be free, and the supreme sacrifices some of us have made, and still counting. It’s now up to compatriot humanity to enable us or deny their humanity by betraying us.
So, as we mourn this latest mass murder of our people, let us all take some comfort that they didn’t die in vain, they died in honor, they fell in defense of freedom and their precious blood will be best requited by our collective and abiding resolve to never back down until Biafra is restored.
We Must Continue!
Signed:
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu
Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

It’s my personal opinion sir and I’m not speaking for any other person. First time I watched Nnamdi Kanu was a video of him asking Igbos resident in the US to support him with finances to acquire weapon. If you don’t see nothing wrong with that, that’s you. We can’t all think and reason same way. This is a faceless forum but there are lots of people who would be shocked that he did that. Personally, I have come across very despicable individuals whom you wouldn’t want to associate or even shake their hands and I mean people who would do unimaginable things but you wouldn’t see such people coming on videos doing such. Fulani militants who camouflage as herders wouldn’t do such..showing their faces in camera asking for weapons, boyz at Esut and UNEC wouldn’t do it. You’ll only hear about them when the deed is done...that’s one of the reasons people laugh at IPOB and Kanu. Here on Nairaland, lots of people believe Kanu and IPOB are just ‘wailers’. They see Biafra as an online republic, they celebrate it when Igbos are killed.

Kanu shouldn’t be calling people names, stoking ethnic tensions and insulting people who disagree with him...Nairalanders call Igbos ‘pigs’ or pigsterners...Kanu started that. He has lots of fans but he should learn to listen and take advice.
Those who criticise him today might turn out to be his fanatical supporters tomorrow and I see that happening.

It’s one death too many...Igbos should wake up. There are lots of distractions. Governors, Ekweremadu and co not uniting and speaking with one voice like South west governors and politicians are doing especially about security. Amotekun is a brilliant idea. They stuck to it and wouldn’t be intimidated...Ugwuanyi and co are still flirting with Abuja and the Inspector General of police and being confused with silly awards being given to them.
We all don’t like the activities of herdsmen but apart from the insults from Kanu, he and IPOB have offered and come up with solutions.

At UNTH Ituku Ozalla, Fulanis have taken over the forests, they are all over there, it took the intervention of top staff at the hospital to reduce the crimes and menace that they constitute there. In the right hands and right method, these wouldn’t be happening, it’ll take some sacrifices but it’ll stop.

Lots of people want to contribute but not with what is happening and they way things are being done.

There’s a cartoon of an IPOB/Biafra soldier pointing his weapon backwards and that’s how people see Biafrans/IPOB. That is actually very good because if things are done correctly, the likes of that police commissioner and his friends would down on their knees on video begging for forgiveness.
Continue speaking English one day you will wake up to reality. The realities are already there just that your pretending to be half awake and we know how hard it it to wake someone half awake.

It is not an igbo mentality speak for yourself I am igbo and I know women who have always shown interest. It is not in your place to decide a woman's interest.
As for the average family I get your point but that does not change the fact that females have a right to inheritance and at the same time does not stop them from working to make their own
you are a low budget feminist and you think this is about being educated? are you more educated than the oldest organization in the world that have refused to have women as priests? hope you have also countered it? continue with your feminism
CultureRe: Supreme Court’s Decision On Female Inheritance Divides Igbos by ZZ22: 1:04pm On Aug 26, 2020
AmazonTopaz:
Na you know.
Supreme court don talk say women have a right and must inherit from their fathers properties so there is nothing you can say that will change that fact and if challenged in court the female must be given a share of the inheritance
that's if she's interested. No nobody is raised here in average family salivating over his/her fathers properties. Everyone strives to have their own. That's the Igbo mentality
CultureRe: Supreme Court’s Decision On Female Inheritance Divides Igbos by ZZ22: 1:02pm On Aug 26, 2020
trutharena:
This is why this female always want to get married to the Yorubas so they can have right to properties.

Such a backward system. In 2020, they still regard women as nobody tueh!
It should be Yoruba men striving to marry Igbo girls as they are trophy and a thing of pride over there.
CultureRe: Supreme Court’s Decision On Female Inheritance Divides Igbos by ZZ22: 12:53pm On Aug 26, 2020
AmazonTopaz:
It can still be challenged.
Especially when there is no will his daughters must be included in the inheritance
See let me tell you no Igbo woman that comes from average family picks interest in his fathers property over the sons even if she is the first daughter. No woman from average family where properties are limited does that.. Even the sons nobody is raised here in average family expecting to inherit rather than working hard to have his or her own.

BabaRamota1980:
Brothers of the deceased chase both the widow and her daughters away from the property of their father. If the widow is young she herself becomes property to be inherited by one of the deceased's brother. Its not about a man's will in iboland. Fvk that. The culture is the will. The culture says both wife and daughter shall not partake in the inheritance. CNN has done a coverage on this before. This is not a secret. No need to twist it.
I won't be surprised if you have not step a foot in Igbo land but vomiting all these trash. You might even be talking from what you have watched in the movies and taking it for reality.
How do you chase someone away from the properties she has its papers intact or are you trying to tell me Igbos will their properties to their brothers instead of their wives.

The Fulani supreme court can't decide the way we will our properties here in the east.
CultureRe: Supreme Court’s Decision On Female Inheritance Divides Igbos by ZZ22: 12:19pm On Aug 26, 2020
Its on the father to will his properties to his children. A wealthy father that has enough would will to both sons and daughters but that of the sons would be of more economic value to that of the daughters. An average man will first consider his sons before the daughters that would get married to a man that has benefited from his father's property. This is how the cycle goes and whatever the supreme court does cannot override the decision of the father in willing his properties as he learnt from his father.
