There are Fela fans everywhere.

I went to visit a friend a few years ago. My friend knows I love Fela and took me to a rave. The DJ, who was a British Caucasian, played the tightest Fela mixes I have ever heard for a few hours.

I was speechless. I also know a Portuguese DJ who mostly plays Fela. Even though it seems that Nigerians have forgotten about Fela, his music lives on, even in the places you would least expect to find it.

If Fela were non-Nigerian, his estate would be one of the wealthiest in the music world.
