I ђa√ع followed d olympic games closely and I discovered that countries in africa(naija in focus) participate in few games as if there is a sort of barn or restriction towards them. Why then do we feel bad when Ɗƺƴ racially discriminate us or treat us as inferior when we ђa√ع already marginalised our self. aπd its not as if we are not good with the few representatives that we ђa√ع. (Abeg let's surport our representatives aπd accept whicheva result they come home with cos its not really easy amidst d shabby training they received ) I don't know if our major problem is inferiority complex, Bad governance or both. But I am sure we ђa√ع a real problem hidden in our pride(GIANT OF AFRICA) |

We're supremely confident people. I do not know and have not met a Nigerian yet who is lacking in confidence. Africans elsewhere may generally show inferiority complex but Nigerians do not. When it comes to sports, we do not make preparations and we are unfortunately Football focused. If we're to improve in other sports or and participate in them, then i believe, the more affluent in our society (Nigeria) have got to directly set up sports facilities and not just spend money or invest from far away. It would be good if government took sports more seriously - and they should because sports could provide a mechanism for pacifying restless youth - but if government does not, i am a great believer citizens should do things for themselves or their communities. We need affluent and interested people to set up clubs and provide facilities in communities (not far away stadiums) for the following: Boxing Archery Cycling Swimming Long Tennis Badminton Track cycling Volleyball Judo Weightlifting Field hockey Volleyball We’re already good at shooting we just need to provide indoor venues, wooden targets and background film showing coaching techniques. |
