How did you get a loan without having a plan for it? Did you 'borrow' the money without owners' knowledge?

something must have came to your mind b/4 you moved to ask for a loan,
tell us what you have in mind first then we can suggest base on  that,  if you've no clues return it as
Thethy mentioned above b/4 it turns to a debt.
holding money at hand without investing it is like holding ice cube without using it.

Return it back safely now because you don`t look prepared. ok.

Good advice. You can go and get it back when you
are ready with a good business plan, lest you run
into serious debt 'wahala'.

@ saha,

Am so disappointed that we still have people like u around. How could you take a loan without an adequate plan? i guessed your creditor is a family member else,

you spoke of investing in stocks and expect to pay back in march 08? you may incurr loss as the market may just be bouncing back at that time. you may also not receive substatial return to mitigate your cost of transaction. as you were advised earlier, i suggest you return the money intact to your creditor pending the time you will have an adequate time for the money. so you protect your goodwill.

If the Loan is a soft Loan and attract no interest, fix the money. But if it is with Interest, then you must be careful what you do with it. grin The period is extremely short for any reasonable investment except on trading backed buy good pfisibility.

I think you can invest some into shares, i bought International Brewery in the last IPO at 87k, now its slighly above N2. Imagine if this money is invested into profitable company you kud reap even in a short time. If i had invest say 350000 for say 400000 units at that time for instance, my investment will then be worth about N800,000 naira with current market price at this time, and might even double with time.

You could also decide to place some into a fixed deposit acct,(interest yielding).

poster,

omo, i give u deep kudos for being large-hearted and matured enuf to ask 4 help.what is it with people, a bro asks 4 advice and we all queue up to dump on him.it takes a man to ask 4 help and aspire to do great things.capital is hardly ever easy to raise so if ever u find yourself in a situation to access some on such friendly terms as you have obviously done, dont look a gift-horse in the mouth by coming off like some dumb-kid.grab it and start dreaming , and never be too shy to ask for guidiance.

i admire your spirit.it may not always give u d desires results, but if u keep at it, u'll soar more often than u ll fall and that my friend is the key to being a successful entrepreneur.keep on dreaming, God Speed.

if you can acquire a piece of land on lease for 3yrs or have one already you can invest in goat breeding, or chicken poultry in small scale, if conditons re right you can pay back your loan within one year and six month. These aformentioned businesses are lucrative, but you must be a persistence, business strong willed person.
1 all the pepper soup/nkwobi joint operators use goat meat 95%
2 Scores of large fast food operators and road side ones consumes eggs/its meat in large qty.
lastly do not tale short time loan or expected quick yields in any business whatsoever
