What else can you say to defend a country that failed at her best sport that she's best know to the world for. Nigeria use to be a legend in football (soccer) in Africa and to the world as a whole, winning and becoming the first African nation to win an Olympic or World Cup soccer tournament.
It is a disgrace that a country with the resources and the population of Nigeria cannot even get a single medal. With the population of about 170, 000,000 (170million) people, It's definitely would be an understatement to say Nigeria don't have athletes to win just a single bronze medal in the Olympics or why are we so bad? Even the Kenyans and the Ethiopians have more medal somehow. What do you think is the problem here, the people? the government? or the nation as a whole? Who's going to come to Nigeria's aide.
