It is not surprising that the Nigerian athletes have not won a medal in this year's olympics.This is because they are simply mirroring the pathetic state of the country that fielded them.Every country gets what it deserves.When things are failing across board in all facets of our life as a nation,it is very unfair for anyone to heap criticisms on our athletes whom despite their failure have shown laudable patriotism in representing us in a way our govt hasn't dreamt of showing.In a country where nothing works,it would be an anomaly for our sports to be working.Nigerian nation must produce a nigerian police,naija army,naija customs and imigraions and naija sports systems that mirrors the health of the country.If you peruse through the medal table,u wud see that all the countries leading in d medal standings are still the same countries the world calls advanced and this shows the level of seriousness dey put in anything dey hav brought out dier minds to do.This is what makes them great.These countries didnt make it to the top by chance or by destiny but by shear hardwork.Even if something new is brought out right now,they would still lead in whatever it is.So,our dear country naija is behaving true to type,everyone discerning enough should have seen this coming,at least it isnt rocket science.Anything different from this would have been an abberation
