Calabar is also known as Canaan City. Yes, I live in Calabar. The xmas season here was damn exciting. 50 Cent, Akon, Faze, Tuface, Styl Plus and all other known Nigerian musicians performed live and for free for all during d season. Once more, happy new year.

U mean guys paid no gat fees 2 watch these stars abi d stars peformed at no cost 2 d organisers? Were u at the carnival? Are U some sort of a tour operator or just a good Calabar citizen?
I heard Calabar is a paradise now. I envy u guys. Clean and serene. Not like Lagos with all the hassles, and dust, and heavy traffic. U guys are bent on making Calabar a havy tourist attraction. Big ups!

No gate fees were paid.  The carnival has started to attract corporate sponsors.  I am just a resident in Calabar.  I had the fun while it lasted.  The only caveat is that, you must make your arrangements in time enough to be sure of a secure accomodation in town during the carnival as every hotel space is normally fully booked one-month to the carnival.  As I said earlier, I took all those pics by myself. The one with me, Akon and faze was taken at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar when Akon was about to leave, and Faze just zoomed into town. (Akon played on dec 29 and Faze played on dec. 30) They met at the airport, and Akon and Faze tried to arrange a joint press-conference to clear the air about their planned collaboration for an album.  I was just lucky to be there, and I joined in the photo session.  Akon reaasured that he can't leave Faze, as both of them have become brothers and friends.  I took a lot of shots, and recorded an interview clip with Faze and Akon but they are patented already. I'm waitng for newspaper, tv and radio houses to contact me for the full clip.  Its for sale.  After all, its a matter of cash!
