Suspected assassins on Sunday killed a former director at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Charles Nwosu along New Market Layout in Owerri, the Imo state Capital.
The suspected assassins who were reported to have driven in a Black Toyota jeep attacked Mr Nwosu, who was driving in his car Peugeot 407 with his wife along New Market Layout on Aba road around 10:30am.

After shooting him, the assassins kidnapped the wife who was later dumped in a bush in the outskirt of the town.
The Imo state Police Public Relations officer, Vitalis Olugu who confirmed this incident said the state Commissioner of Police, Adisa Bolanta has set up all machineries to ensure that the killers of the former CBN director are brought to book.
