I've always wondered how pidgin English came about in Nigeria, where it started, how it spread throughout the country and when we started speaking it. I want to imagine that during Colonial times, there was nothing like pidgin English. So, how were the common Nigerians communicating with each other? Is there anybody who's privy to this information? Pls share... |
