Medical school is not easy at all..Not to talk of so easy....U won't know how hard it is until u start..Even those with an undergrad degree who go into medicine still testify of the workload they face there..Medicine is no piece of cake..Even after graduation, some still wonder how they managed to scale through that rough road called MEDICINE..Thank God I know what it takes to go through med school..I've done some research about the course and I love it..I know I can do it..But I can only do it by God's special grace..Bro, I know u have some knowledge about med school because u were in biochem b4 but u need to do some more research about the course so that it won't catch u unawares..Thanks..

Thewhizzkid1: Please what surgical procedures do doctors with the Primary MBBS(doctors of any specialty) do? Can they handle an accident victim? Also, what do pathologists do? Please replies are needed asap...Thanks.

Non-specialist doctors can do a number of minor procedures - the spectrum which depends on the know-how of the doctor involved. You learn to do procedures by first observing then assisting then performing under supervision -until you can do it on your own. There are however complex procedures. The degree of complexity of a procedure is directly proportional to the degree of specialization needed to do it.

For example, a non-specialist can excise a lump with excellent basic surgical skills/knowledge but cannot and can never do a cardiac catheterization. That's for the cardiologist.

Accident victims can be handled by non-specialists. The outcome of that accident will determine if a specialist would be needed of not . I'll give an example.

Tom and his friend Sam were returning from a party. They had a good dose of alcohol at the party. On their way back, Tom drove the car while Sam was in the passenger seat. Sam had his seatbelt on, Tom didn't. There were airbags in the car. Tom, driving at 140km/hr collided with another car coming in the opposite direction driving at 160km/hr. Due to the impact, Tom hit his head, had a deep laceration on his left arm,had multiple fractures on both femurs and lost consciousness. Sam, on the other hand, had only scalp lacerations.

A non-specialist can manage Sam effectively, if there are no added findings. To manage Tom, you'll need a neurosurgeon, (to manage sequelae of head trauma) an orthopedic surgeon(For the fractures) and most likely a cardiothoracic surgeon(for vascular repair if the deep laceration damaged a vessel).

Pathologists are specialists who are concerned with the diagnosis of disease by examining the body part concerned whether grossly(with their naked eyes) or microscopically.

Thewhizzkid1: Which company(ies) can give u a scholarship while u're a beneficiary of another scholarship? Pls reply ASAP..Thanks..

Apply for all of them in the year you have none of them- you are not a beneficiary of any at the time of application. Anyone that says you should notify them if you have another award, you do accordingly. It's purely discretionary.

It could be easy both ways - or difficult too. Depends on who is doing it and what he/she hopes to achieve.

But then....

I wrote US board exams from part 1 to part 3 when I was still in med school and passed all of them. I wrote the last part which must be written in the USA last year, passed the theory but failed the clinical part. That thing no be moi moi. Anyway I still plan to write next year again and if God willing I pass, I will do my senior residency in US. I already passed New-zealand board exam but chose not to go there cause they are willing to grant me just temporary training licence.

step 3 has 2 parts?
or step 2?
your post is very confusing.
you passed all of them but failed CS (I'm guessing that's the clinical part)
explain further, biko
