MAPOLY: Students got wild over SUG Election

...as many point fingers at state govt.

An outbreak of law and order was withnessed in the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic,Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital as students of the institution on Monday, were perceived uncontrollable in expressing their alligiance to some beloved aspirants and parties.

The outbreak occured in furiousity of tommorow's S.U.G presidential election when a coincidental display of high temperament in the classes of ND2 students of Business Administration and Mass Communication embraced the campaign of one alias Anfela who introduced their party's new flag bearer to be Adufe. However, the table turned around when another aspirant, aka Professor, approached the classes and he was forced out by proclaimed harrassing songs and reactions while a suspected Mass Communication student took to the podium and forcefully dragged out the flying flag which an ally of Professor was holding.

This act got fellow allies of Professor infuriated and led into verbal confrontations which could have resulted to fighting of both allies if the school security have not been present to control the situation.

Speaking to a student of the institution who preferred to be kept anonymous, he dissclosed that the school in collaboration with the state government administered by Senator Ibikunle Amosun have created an atmosphere of dislike between Advocate and Reformer which are the two famous political parties in the institution.

"Influential power have always segregated Advocate from the SUG presidential seat over the years, and its high time we stopped it" He said.

He further argued that elections should be franchising and any trace of godfatherism in the institution should be discouraged.

However, he urged students and allies to maintain peace for the benefit of all and further wished to congratulate the winner of tommorow's election in advance.
