Chelsea expect Oscar to be fit for the game against Stoke but Daniel Sturridge once again misses out.

Oscar's sensational full debut was marred by an ankle injury after he was trodden on by Leonardo Bonucci during the Blues' Champions League game against Juventus on Wednesday night.

Sturridge missed that match and it is unclear exactly when he will return, while fellow hamstring injury victim Marko Marin is edging closer to making his debut.

Stoke, meanwhile, will be without suspended defender Andy Wilkinson for Saturday's trip to Stamford Bridge.

Wilkinson starts a three-match ban after Stoke accepted the violent conduct charge brought against him by the Football Association over an incident in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Manchester City where he caught Mario Balotelli in the face with an elbow.

Midfielder Jamie Ness could return having been back in training after his groin injury.

Match Notes
A training ground visit from perplexed owner Roman Abramovich following the midweek Champions League slip-up against Juventus will have concentrated a few minds in the home changing room and it is difficult to see the league pacesetters coming unstuck against Stoke.

Tony Pulis's side remain difficult to beat - they have drawn all four matches this term - but rarely shine at Stamford Bridge, where they haven't won in the league since 1975.
