He was born as Abolore Adegbola Akande on January 17, 1980. He is popularly called by his stage name, 9ice. He is the Founder and Chief Executive of Alapomeji Records.

9ice is a Nigerian musician from Ogbomoso in Oyo State, South-West Nigeria. He grew up in Bariga area of Lagos with his parents.
