Have you been listening to disturbing stories from graduating students of Medical Rehabilitation? We write to bring to your notice these fraudulent acts by the HOD of Medical Rehab.

It has come to our attention that the Head of Department of Medical Rehabilitation is planning to extort graduating students into paying 100,000 Naira each for students Induction slated for next month. Are Head of Department and Faculty Officials forcing graduating students to pay whooping illegal payment to host members of Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy for their Induction and the VC is keeping quite and folding hand?

The increasing adoption of crooked processes for graduating students Induction by HOD's in University of Nigeria and most especially Department of Medical Rehabilitation has sullied the image of this great university and has raised question about your administration. If senior university officials claim ignorance of this malpractice, it must be because they don't want to hear about it or because they are direct beneficiaries of the scheme.

According to report monitored, a few individuals from Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy have been mounting pressure to HOD Medical Rehab to force graduating students to pay 100,000 Naira each, hoping to illegally raise more than 5 Million Naira for personal reason. We are also aware that they claim that YOU approved the payment and that more 40% will be paid to you. We cannot independently confirm that you are directly involved but we are watching development as they unravel.

Instead of asking cooperate bodies or individuals to sponsor this upcoming Induction, they have resolved to extort students to pay such an outrageous, illegal payment.

We have people on ground monitoring this development and we would NOT hesitate to use the Nigerian media and of course Sahara Reporters and every avenue possible to inform the general public and authorities for these fraudulent acts by a few dishonest.

We hopefully that you would act and stop this anomaly and put a complete end to this modern day slavery. We would not hesitate to provide you with names of those involved in this planning. Report reaching us has it that the graduating students of Medical Rehabilitation have been asked by the HOD and his cohorts to start paying this illegal payment from next week.

Many parents and students have suffered incalculable emotional trauma caused by a system that promised fairness and transparency but has delivered extortion, illegality and favouritism.

We ask that you STOP this mess before it becomes a public mess for everyone.
