Paddle shifters contrary to what some might think has been with cars for ages, it kinda died town but now back with a bang...it really makes driving an automatic transmission more fun to drive, and now that they are available in entry level luxury cars...Whao...loving it, i pray all car makers even put it as an option too

Are paddle shifters also available for manual tranny cars? How do they work? u still have to clutch down b4 up or down shifting? ur S8 is manual right?

Only available on auto / Tiptronic tranny. My Audi S8 is 5-speed Tiptronic.

I see, coz the only cars I've seen paddle or steering mounted shifters on indeed have auto/tiptronic trannies.
Thought u would have converted the S8 to manual . tho i remember u were fine with the tiptronic transmission back when you were considering getting an SUV........before you bought the S8 I believe.
