alyarmouk: rubbish testing...avnt done mine and will probably never do it...when I know am not messing up ma self.....if you happen to do it and it turned out ++ itz the fear that wld kill u sef nt even the sickness so my advice? better to die with it without knowing than seeking to know. afterall people die in accidents etc daily...so why leave with the knowledge that you are ++ when u can live a healthy life without its knowledge. £jstmythought£ Now this is the height of ignorance. I'm really surprised that people still reason this way. I pray God changes this myopic way of reasoning. |

M M M: Not necessary becos am still a virgin You don't contact HIV only by penetration. Even your guy using his thing to Jimmy Jat your own can infect you with HIV. Pre-cum too transfers HIV so better go get tested. |

you should take it at least 4 times yr in my opinion , we are exposed in a number of ways for eg When a person is exposed to needles that are contaminated with HIV-infected blood in the process of injecting drugs,syringes, razor blades or other sharp instruments like needles at the hairdressers, we ladies have been pricked uncountable times at the hair salon, the same needles used on a million other customers, do you know their HIV status?? I will advice you to continue testing as much as you still hawk around. abifoluwa: i took my test recently, and i was surprised by people who are infected, and didnt get tested. |

I did one about 5 years ago b4 my operation. I was scared to death. Hav been a better person since, but I still dey fear. I actually think dat d number of people with HIV is actually very small. I'm sure Nigeria officials inflate d results 4 financial gain. |

Ramcie: I do it for fun. Every month I take the test. My Dr said am abusing the test but I just like having my blood taken. Apart from that, I also check my sugar level and genotype . I did not know genotyp changes periodically. Your Dr must be a guru |

Just did mine a month ago for the very first time. Come see, as I de shake on standing when I went for the result. I couldn't even sleep cuz I was asked to check back the next day for the report since the pathologist that was to sign the test result wasn't on seat the same day my blood sample was being taken. Thank God I'm Safe. |

I went for the test not intetionally but when I had to donate blood to someone very dear to me. The blood took so long for the test for screaning come out. The Doctor came out to ask if we have someone else that could donate blood that they cannot use my blood. I started feeling feverish immidately,my eyes started turning me. I sneaked out of the hospital to walk down to my house. My mind was telliing me to drink acid the other was telling me run into a coming truck. My wrist watch I forgot at the table where the took my blood. I went back to collect it. When I got back to hospital to take my wrist watch. I was trying to read the nursese face. That was 1994 it was my father I went to donate blood to. I started recolating all the girls I slept with in the school, one was very skinny I felt she was the one that gave the AIDS virus So I went to the nurse that took my blood and asked in a subtle voice. 'Why are they not using my blood for my father' the nurse said she does not know that the blood was still in the lab. She went to see the technician at lab. When she came out, she was with the the technitian this time and the man walked up to me and said my brother am very sorry your blood group is +B why your fathers was O that the nurse should have taken a sample for screening before bleeding me, he said. I asked if he did all AIDS test he said yes that everything was ok. I now asked him to give me the blood he said it was in the bank I asked which bank? He now opened the fridge by one corner of the lab and brought my blood. I saw my name on it and some remarks but saw also HIV negetive. My brother I nearly have commited sucide. That was also how I knew blood bank was a fridge 3 Likes |

I get tested once every year even when I'm sexually inactive.  HIV is not only transmitted through sexual activity. As for the women who only get tested during pregnancy, i'll suggest you do it more often. Your man is only human and mistakes happen!  I'm not saying he is cheating but, to be safe you both should take the test together at least 3 times a year married or not.  |
