Adidas & Arsenal Kit Deal To Happen In 2013? by Adufaye(m): 2:04pm On Nov 23, 2012
An adidas employee posted “#Adidas‬ to become the new kit supplier of ‪#Arsenal‬ Football Club as early as 2013/14. Partnership agreement is currently in the making.”, during the evening of July 10th, 2012, a move that would see the three stripes return to Arsenal for the first time since the 1993-94 season

Arsenal are historically one of the strongest brands worldwide, with an average of 700,000 to 900,000 football shirts sold during 2005-09, Sporting Intelligence reported in a 2010 article.

The north London club were listed as the fifth-highest income generators when it came to shirt sales during that time frame, trailing Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool.

(Sporting Intelligence took their data from a study conducted by German consulting agency PR Marketing.)

Adidas had recently lost out on sponsoring English Premiership side Liverpool, with Warrior Brand taking over those duties ahead of the 2012-13 season. Liverpool will net a £25 million per year from the new deal, the richest in English football.

Will you Gooners miss the tick, or welcome back the three stripes?
