All tribes have criminals so the ethnic bigots shouldn't get excited. We have read of a whole family involved in kidnapping before. There is no justifiable reason to commit crime and they should face the consequence. |

While raping and killing the innocent they felt invincible and forgot they were human, only to be caught and start pleading for humanity. I have no sympathy for this kind at all. Thieves are unrepentant, a pardon only guarantees that they'll be back to inflict more vicious attacks on society. Let the law take its full course and serve as a deterrent to those who prey on innocents by inflicting physical and emotional scars. If you've ever had someone you know get killed like a ram and feel helpless only to have sweep their blood for hours (Jeez, the human body sure has a lot of blood in it)then you'll have no pity on criminals. If you had to watch your female relatives get raped while you are at gun point then you'll understand that this is a scourge to be eliminated from our society. If the Government cannot protect the citizenry then it's time we legalized firearms in Nigeria. 5 Likes |

My question is, after our police makes arrest of suspects, should they be beaten to pulp to show that they are doing "their job"? In as much as these boys are stupid & giving lame excuses for their actions,Personally I think its inhuman to beat up people after arresting them. |

Yes they are thieves and Satan and whatever we want to call them but first they are human beings abducted have rights. Why beat a suspect this much, Habba.. In international law, confessions obtained via torture is always thrown out in court, I doubt these ones will even have a trial not to talk of a fair one.. Shame! 2 Likes |

kevoh: I hate it when the Police or security operatives in Nigeria say: 'We swung into action' you would think it's that type of SWAT team or American special force type of action, meanwhile it's just a dummy phone call to the youngest of the brothers who probably might be innocent in this case. Apparently that's the only part of the story that annoyed me. You go fear Nikita abi na Jack Bauer na. |

xtraodinaire: The same BS we hear everyday from criminal related minds. "Confession thrown out of court"? You mean they confessed having A̶̲̥̅ pistol or A̶̲̥̅ pistol was recovered from them? You mean they confessed sharing the money or they were caught sharing the money. I have been robbed before and it was A̶̲̥̅ near death experience that saw many people massacred. Since then, my perspective towards armed robbers changed. When I hear people beating armed robbers, I will join and pour acid or whatever I have at that moment on that robber. You are talking about human right? You jeopardize your human right once you shoot A̶̲̥̅ gun at an innocent man. Are you saying the victims have no human right? Criminals have human right but victims don't. You are talking like that because you saw those guys wearing humble face. That's the trick. Even A̶̲̥̅ baby knows that when he is caught doing A̶̲̥̅ wrong thing he show A̶̲̥̅ sorry face. That doesn't rid them of their criminal nature. I know in the next 2 months, those guys will be free and they will continue their business. I have seen a lot of them when I was in agege. They arrest them and due to human right wakos like you, they release them back after some months. And you will see the same set of guys robbing and killing people again. |

xtraodinaire: Do you know how long it took the vigilante guys to get these confessions from them? do you think they started confessing immediately they were caught? Seems you have not heard a hardened, caught in action criminals denying and swearing before. If you have seen hardened criminals displaying their lies and arguments in the presence of police and public, you will not be the Thieves human right activist on nairaland forum. I always pray that you will be a victim of armed robbery and other crimes one day, so that you can begin this saint man you are claiming on nairaland. Though one cannot tell who is who on this forum. Criminals deserve no mercy, as they don’t value people’s lives. Imagine whole family members earning their living through armed robbery, I hate pretenders. Nigeria has not reached the level of treating criminals with kid gloves, criminals in Nigeria graduate to the higher levels every day. To tackle corruption we must start from the local criminals, because they are the same people at the highest levels in our society. Anyone who does not like the way which criminals are treated when they are caught , should campaign for crime free society , when criminals stop their illicit acts, there will be no more killings of criminals in Nigeria again. Stay clear from crime, it kills. No mercy / human right respect, for the hardened criminals. |
