Never seek poetry,
She seeks you,
Then leads you to the path
Like ants on a sugar trail.

She is heaven,
That cannot be reached.
She is hell,
That must be feared.

Yet she abides
everywhere,
Visible,
like the luminesence
Of fire flies lighting up,
The muddy river bank.

She is the sea
between man and gods,
The cloud of dawn,
that fastened noose of noon
The language of the spirits,
Sang aloud in whispers

Never seek poetry
Unless your verses
are strung like pearls,
And jewels are wasted,
On the plains
of your utterances.

Never seek poetry,
Unless you are a poet
She would be unattractive
Like a hippo in a corset
