That's what my friend told me too.I asked him to come to Nigeria to see what flood really is.That's the first rain they would experience since 4 years ago.so happy for them though.

Dubai barely ever gets rain. So they do not have to worry much about drainage like other countries that live right next to the Atlantic itself, and in a tropical region. I think this is happy news for many in Dubai.

Before this can happen in dubai again it will be more than 20yrs because their gov. Will take ever precultive measures to avoid it from happening again.

I experienced it today and was a bit shock myself seeing the water rising during the rain which is the 1st i have experienced since i got here 8 months ago. However few hours after the rain the water had receded which shows how effective the drainage system is... Please do not compare to what we have back home they are opposite scenarios.

The last time it rained was about 4years ago, so it's a welcome development in Dubai. Moreso, it's their national anniversary this weekend...I learnt it's a norm to witness such :/ #Howbeit, this isn't flood...

What happens after is what matters.while US have cleaned up after the flood,we are still living in camps...God help us all

It seems you don't see the flooding in Europe, particularly UK. They have better drainages yet still get heavy flooding. Also is China and India.
