Who Can Help Me Get These Scammers? by drify: 5:00pm On Nov 30, 2012
Hello everyone,

My name is IFY. I am resident in Benin
city, Edo state. On monday november 26, 2012, I came across this
advert on the internet
http://garki-ii./neat-toyota-camry-2-2-for-sale-iid-459471836.
I was so intrigued, so I called the individual on his number
08164418717, and he introduced himself as Apostle Dele Benson of
REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCHOF GOD, Garki 1, Abuja. I asked him whether
the vehicle was ACTUALLY N350,000 and he said it's actually N410,000,
including the registration fees. I told him I would love to buy the
vehicle from him. He then said I must first of all pay N60,000 to his
GTB bank account for him to register the car, after which he would
send the car down to Benin city, then I would pay the balance of
N350,000. I obliged to this. On tuesday morning, november 27, 2012, i
sent the sum of N60,000 to his GTB account number 0119402945. I sent
the money through INTERNET BANKING, and the owner of the account
appeared as DELE-BENSON GABRIEL. I then contacted him, and soon later,
he told me that the vehicle is already on it's way to Benin city. And
he gave me the driver's number which was 08101073373. I called the
driver several times that day, but he kept giving me one flimsy excuse
after the other about why he hasn't arrived in Benin city. I also
called him several times between wednesday november 28 and thursday
november 29, 2012. Majority of the time, he refused to pick his calls,
and on the few occasions he did, he gave one flimsy excuse or the
other. Finally, in the evening of thursday november 29, I noticed that
BOTH their phones were switched off permanently. Thus my fears about
being scammed were confirmed.

Now I want justice to be served to these people, to serve as a
deterrent to others. I can provide PROOF that i actually sent the
N60,000 to his account.
I believe both of them can be tracked using their SIM CARD
registration details, as well as Dele Benson's GTB account number
0119402945 (assuming dele benson is ACTUALLY his real name).

Please I need you people to help me out here. What is the next step i
need to take now? N60,000 is not the end of the world, but i still want to punish these scammers.

Thanks

@ Ify, i checked the link u posted and i must say that the pix of the car and the details should hv alerted ur sixth sense that it was a scam. The details below the car states that it is a '2009 model'. A 2009 model selling for 410k? No way will it be possible except the vehicle is being sold as a salvage car. U didnt know much abt cars, u should hv approached a friend or a colleague who knows more about cars.
Having said that, i sympathasize with u for losing 60k. The only sure way to get the man who scammed u is through his a/c details (assuming the bank officials did KYC on him before opening his account). Report to the EFCC and request for atleast one of them to accompany u to the bank for the man's details and picture.
All da best and pls be careful nxt time.
