Miss Gbemisola Shotade, 21 was on Sunday December 9 2012 crowned Miss UN Tourism 2012 in Jamaica.

Gbemisola won the keenly contested pageant which had beauty queens from around the world participating.

The pageant was held for two weeks in Usain Bolt's country and she had her crew member with her including her Chapron, Faith Irabor.

Inaddition to winning the coveted crown, she also won Miss Congeniality and her costume was adjudged the best in the traditional category.

For winning, she has earned herself $10,000, a modelling contract with Oil Sheen, a top beauty brands in Jamaica and U.S plus an opportunity to travel around the Caribbean Island.

Before she left for Jamaica, Gbemisola visited wife of Ogun
State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Funsho. Gbemisola hails from Ogun State and is a student of University of Lagos.

Gbemisola Shotade contested in the Miss Global Nigeria 2012 pageant. She was first runner-up and was crowned Miss United Nations Nigeria 2012.

Before leaving for Jamaica, she paid a courtesy visit to the first lady of Ogun State, Mrs Funsho Amosun.

Beauty is more than looks . Most pageants are not just about physical attractiveness. It's about brains yes but more importantly about a generous heart. Selflessness and a desire to make a difference whenever you go. You can't be Miss UN on powdered face alone.

But we have better looking Yoruba girls na.. at least i can say with all boldness that my brother's yoruba wife is way beautiful than this lady even after 2 kids plus one on the way.
