how good is nissan maxima 2002 ,i mean fuel consumption , maintenance and durability

Bruv the nissan maxima comes mainly with a 3.5L v6 engine so you can't possibly be asking of fuel economy.. Very rugged and reliable too but it's auto tranny is quite notorious with issues if not properly maintained and used. Generally it's a family size car with quite an impressive power from under the hood.

I should have thought that caveat applies to any automobile. Anyway, the 2002 Max (5.5 gen) is not notorious for tranny issues. The one that has that accolade is the 2004/06 model (6th gen);but then not so really. It is now common knowledge (if you care to search enough) that its weak link is the valve body of the tranny.Once you have a way around it (repair or replace) you're good to go again.

@costee i guess you right.. The 02 maxima is quite reliable except for the SE version which had quite a number of negative reviews from nissan customers. Failed speed sensors and some other issues. Actually every make of car has got one issue or the other. I'm mostly impressed by the power produced by these maximas, it would be a beauty sight to go on long journeys with one these babies. Overall it's a good car but not truly appreciated by Nigerians.
