bigboa: Hello everyone. I would like to get tips and advice on maintenance of the 2004 ford escape in Lagos. Any helpful comments will be seriously appreciated. I think the escape shares the same engine type with a Mazda tribute,such most mechanics that works on japanese makes like Mazda would easily be able to work on it. |

femmy2010: Ford and Mazda have a joint venture(ford owns a large part of Mazda) so some models are clones built in same factory, and some only share part. @OP Just change oil,filters, rotate tires at specified interval and you should be good.When your mech starts cleaning injectors,removing thermostats you are in trouble http://www.carsurvey.org/reviews/ford/escape/2003/single-page/ |

make sure you always use the correct oil viscosity which is 5w20. Anything other than this and you will lose fuel economy big time. |
