The digital quiz is just one of the many innovations of the newly formed social club in the name of NTA - KALEX LEADERS’ YARD, which is a corporate social responsibility of Kalex Global with the principal aim of empowering Nigerians through the quiz, employment, skills, leadership and entrepreneurship training among others, partnering with Africa’s largest TV, the NTA for the widest coverage.

It was the highly educative/supportive nature of the programme that the zonal director of the Lagos network center of the Nigerian Television Authority, owners of the NTA brand harped on the media launch penultimate week. According to Elizabeth Aina -Scott, the NTA- KALEX LEADERS’ YARD club will revive the reading culture among Nigerian youths and empower them financially as well while also revolutionizing TV broadcasting in the nation. NTA- KALEX LEADERS’ YARD digital quiz which comes under free plan, premium plan and school plan covers English Premier League quiz, English Language quiz, Food quiz, Bible quiz, Nigerian affairs quiz independently with five questions per session where the systems scores, times and positions the participant in the live leader board built into the system. The top 25 participants will go home with N20,000 (Twenty thousand naira) daily with a grand prize of N1, 000, 000.00 (One Million naira) monthly for the best
competitor.

Participants are not required to make any direct payment to participate but to submit two mobile adverts/announcements from organizations /individuals ranging from birthdays, weddings, burials, felicitations, products and services etc.

At the media launch penultimate week, the CEO of Kalex Global, Oku Alex thanked God for being able to pull off such a programme which naturally requires a strong technological base. According to Alex, never has something this large scale been done involving a private company and a public entity in terms of time and energy believing strongly that the partnership will be beneficial to the stakeholders and Nigerians in general.

Yinka Rahman, the marketing manager of NTA2, mentioned other club’s benefits to members and partners to include low cost NTA mobile adverts, mobile surveys, shopping with member stores/businesses at highly discounted rates while also driving traffic to commercial partners’ businesses. There is also a listing opportunity for Artisans to show off their businesses while
religious organizations, medical and legal outfits are not left out.

Meanwhile, pupils and students of nursery/primary and secondary schools will take their turn for a cash prize of ₦1,000,000.00 (One Million Naira ) shared among top 3 (three)winners from
nursery/primary, junior secondary and senior secondary categories with subject options from Mathematics, English language, Sciences and current affairs on 26th December, 2012 for preliminaries in the comfort of their homes and 4th January, 2013 in the NTA,Lagos Network centre premises for finals using their mobile phones as electronic answering pads provided they are sponsored by their parents ,guardians or schools
