for some time now going to 5 days, my dopc modem have refused to connect. i noticed someone was viewing my ip address in one of the systems in my cafe, question is, can he do anything with my ip address like blocking it somehow cos i dont understand how i have not been able to connect since 4 days now even though their service is usually sketchy there anyways. what can be done to rectify it if indeed someone can block my ip address l;ike how do you assing a new one to the modem. pls help fast.

Log into your modem with admin account, get the details of ur ISP dns server, try pinging from CLI. If u get sucessful ping response and u cant ping other servers, call ur isp. Ip's are not so easy to manipulate, except of course u have a static ip, even at that there are limited chances of blocking your ip internally. See if your firewall has been tampered with.
