them say police go fear u when hem no say u sabi ur right; no wahala...but how u go fit proof say police beat u during the detention, how u will u proof that u were maltreated at the station when it is just u against the police, how can u proof that police beat u up and force u to write a statement admitting what u never did, how can u ever proof that police took u inside a cell to be mercilessly beaten by harden criminals, how can u proof that u were illegally arrested when u are immediately branded armed robber upon ur arrest... how can u proof all these in a court of law so that u get judgment against the police....remember it is just u against the myriads of those men in black and the duty of proof is upon u!

I'm going to share two ordeal that l had with the NPF.
This faith full day we woke up to find an unidentified car parked infront of our gate and taking a closer look at the car we discovered that the car must have been snatched at gun point... So we are a little bit confused about the next line of action. Atlast we agreed to get the police informed about the matter. I decided to let my brother handle the issue because of the bad experienced l once had with the Nigerian police and moreover i was going to leave the country in few days and don't want to be caught up in there mess, so l pick up few things and decided not to come back home until there is a green light.
After spending most of the day out side l was hungry and decided to find something to eat in a (buka) restaurant. Unfortunately While l was eating l misplaced my phone and all hands pointed at this guy. After dragging the matter for a longtime we ended up at the police station.
By the time i narrated the whole story to this crazy police woman she threating to lock me and the suspect up and said she will charge me for negligence and she start by asking me series of question; How much does the phone cost? Where do you work? How much do you earn..... etc. At that point i just felt sorry for myself and just accepted my fate, while all this was going on my brother and his wife were sitting behind the counter, they where held all day and they collected a huge sum before we could even get them out of there custody. The Nigerian police station is the least place to get justice. You wonder why people carry out jungle justice? It is a failed system!
Nb: few months after l travelled l got the information that the suspect was actually the criminal who stole my phone. I will come back with the other experience....(the worst) cry

TechRev: One night there was blackout at our office, i ran to the gate house to change over and then went to put on the gen at the back of the hous. 20 mins later i and my boss heard gunshots. We saw a group of 20 armed policemen at our gate, it was 2am. We went to ask what their mission was, and one police man with blood all over his arm pointed at me saying the one with the red shirt. The dpo then told us that the bleeding police man saw me running towards the gen and thought i was an armed robber, he fired at me three times and the gun jammed three times without releasing a bullet. When he felt i and my coworker were coming for him, he jumped the fence and had his arm cut by the barbed wire. He made his way backto the station and then came back with more policemen. I was like wtf. So had the gun not jammed i would be corpse now. Was scared and yet grateful to God.
shocked

My sister made fun of a guy smoking 'egbo' and he turned out to be police informant. the police came and arrested my sister and stepmom. we were verbally abused for hours and thrown into a tiny cell by police officers for no offence and my poor father was charged to release us.
