Wow... I love what am seeing on this thread. Am actually learning some programming languages using rithmschool.com... You guys should check it out...is so cool. I also want to be mentored cos I won't like to go back on this journey I have started. I thereby plead with our gurus here to please help a girl on her journey to finding herself.

Good to hear, which language are you learning , I love it when girls turn the table around with codes, I wish I can, would have gladly mentor you, but you will be fine, it's all about motivation and dedication, try to solve each puzzles that comes your way in your language, even if you could not solve it, think towards on how to get the job done and relate some codes to real life problem.. I wish you all the best

All you need is dedication cos it's not a smooth ride.

I get motivation mostly from these foreign programmers I follow on YouTube. You'll find a lot of inspirations and advise there.

Good luck

Must coders and programmers be good in mathematics ? I was watching silicon valley, and i noticed that these guys are sometimes faced with challenges when they r building their apps, they formed algorithms in order to solve these problems, at a point, they solve a problem using masturbation techniques, etc, so my question is if u r nt good in mathematics, hw can u build algorithms that run apps?

I still wonder why the powerful Actionscript is not listed.

Python.
Python is a Rapid Application Development(RAD) language which lets you write complex software with less codes.
It is made juicier with the arrays of available modules that makes your programming life fun, easy and exciting.
As a developer, if you pick up python and dedicate say 2 weeks to learning it, You wont go back.

Python is not only addictive but also clean and organized. You can read through source codes written in python and you know what they do right a way.
the syntax design is near perfect as it lets you code without thinking of ending every line with semi-colons, no dollar signs, no var, Dim or the likes.
Python developers here can add theirs.

Adiaha-Eka i want to learn python under you please, you can as well direct me to a reputable tutor in Uyo.
