Sandra Appiah is the youngest black Editor and COO of an international magazine in the world, the Face2Face Africa magazine in New York U.S.A. At 23, millions of her fellow young African women are either hawking goods on the street, already having unwanted pregnancies and unwanted babies in dysfunctional marriages or still in colleges, polytechnics and universities in Africa, the most undeveloped continent on earth. And according to the African Economic Outlook, with almost 200 million people aged between 15 and 24, Africa has the youngest population in the world and that number will double by 2045.

[size=18pt]Between 2000 and 2008, Africa’s working age population (15-64 years) grew from 443 million to 550 million; an increase of 25%. In annual terms this is a growth of 13 million, or 2.7% per year (World Bank 2011a). If this trend continues, the continent’s labour force will be 1 billion strong by 2040, making it the largest in the world, surpassing both China and India (McKinsey Global Institute, 2010).

Youth unemployment is higher in Africa than in other continents and the grave consequences have been seen in the widespread conflicts caused by economic and sociopolitical crimes in many African countries with increase in human trafficking as millions of young Africans are migrating to the U.S., Europe and other countries. But things are not better for them in the developed countries where the recession left millions of people jobless. Unemployment Rate in the United States remained unchanged at 7.80 percent in December of 2012 with number of unemployed persons, at 12.2 million. And blacks have been hit the hardest by unemployment at 15.8 percent. But in spite of all these challenges in Africa and in her new base in the US, Sandra Appiah, an eptiome of beauty and brilliance is still proudly African and walking tall in the Bronx writing her own illuminating chapter of the American Dream with her team of young blacks and their mission is to use Face2Face Africa to re-brand the image of Africa in America and the rest of the world.
Sandra rocks 24/7.

The much awaited unveiling of the high-end contemporary pan-African F2FA magazine attracted many dignitaries and media buffs at the awesome Empire State Building in New York City on Friday January 11, 2013.

“F2FA is a dream fulfilled. A dream stemmed from a desire to change the story for someone who is going through what I experienced as a teenager,” the 23-year-old Editor-in-Chief, Sandra Appiah said. She said the mission is to redefine Africa in the modern world and shape black culture.

“If you believe that our mission is important and you want to continue seeing subsequent issues, you simply have to support and spread the word,” said 28-year-old Publisher Isaac Boateng calling on the global community to support F2FA Magazine.

F2FA will have a special Red Carpet LA launch in February and other special launching ceremonies will follow in Accra and London this spring.
