OP's question: Do You Eat Edible Worms? My answer: Yes During my undergraduate days, I once did an unconventional but lively presentation on entomophagy which basically revolves around the consumption of insects (regardless of insect-stage now) as a form of food and the benefits of same for healthy living. Insects have been proven to be tremendously nutritious compared to many other conventional main sources of proteins, vitamins and low cholesterol. I have eaten the larvae posted by OP, termites (winged and unwinged) and grasshoppers (I decided to 'walk the talk' during my presentation-preparation) and will say 'Yummie' they sure are! 1 Like |

the first time i saw this kind of worm was in a boarding school back in days that was around 97 or thereabout. actually what happened was that some of these senior students who were always fond of forgetting food in their flasks/plate left yam porridge in some plates.as a sanitary prefect by the time we opened them about a month later, on one of the emergengy general sanitation we always had then in school, we discovered some wonderful creatures  :oi.e various colors of this same worms the OP posted. that sight was not palatable at all  |
