I thought they were cubs, but are actually grown lions - under Nigerian conditions.
You can see the pelvic bone sticking out on one of them.
I hope the feeders don't plan on continuing their over-confidence with their reliance on planks to keep the lions at bay.
It happened once before, and if this continues it will happen again - a lion will descend on someone at the UI "zoo".

But I've seen on many occasions where they are given live animals. Maybe its because these are cubs, but the older ones are given live goats.
